He was grateful to the person who had carried her and left her in front of his house. When he found her, he took her into his house and took care of her injuries for an hour before putting her to bed. Since he was a wolf, he knew that her cuts would heal quickly, but the way she looked still hurt his heart.
He asked his niece, "How are you, my child?" with love.
Myla tried to smile through her scars and said, "I'm fine, Grandpa." She then changed the subject and asked, "Have we won the war?"
Her grandfather nodded and kept stroking her head. She was his favourite grandson. She was one of the most beautiful girls he had ever seen in his family, and she was born with skills that were far beyond what anyone could have expected.
Even though she was important to him, the fact that she was an alpha scared him.
When he wanted to become chief of the group, his power-hungry son led a coup against him. The only reason he was still alive was because his son's daughter-in-law, who was pregnant with Myla at the time, begged his son to let him live on the condition that he would always be kicked out of the tribe and live on the edge of the jungle, always afraid that other tribes would attack him.
His daughter-in-law died when Myla was born, but she had called him before she died to give him his daughter. In the process, she told him something that he was still thinking about.
The month of October was when Myla was born. Because she was born during a full moon, an unusual thing happened: the moon goddess was there when she was born. The moon goddess picked up the child and put her on her lap.
While holding Myla 's tiny hands, she moved a moonbeam into the child's tiny body, giving her a beautiful aura. But with this power came some bad things. When there was a full moon, Myla would turn into a werewolf without her knowing and run into the jungle like a wild animal.
At the young age of seven, he could see that she had enough energy inside of her to easily make a small gust of wind that she could play with. By the time Myla was 15, she was able to easily channel the energy element inside her and control the air around her to make a wind defence that no attack could get through. Her wind defence could protect her from all kinds of threats, no matter what they were or where they came from.
Even though her grandpa helped her learn how to use her powers, she still had to keep doing it. No one else had the powers she did.
He always worried that enemies from the dark forces would find out about her skills and either kill her or take her away. Because of this, he made her learn right away how to control and direct the wild energy that was running through her. He also warned her not to use her power unless it was an emergency.
Myla was happy with how she looked at her grandfather. The end of the war made her happy. Her body hurt again, but she didn't let it show on her face. She shut her eyes and tried to focus on her inner energy, but she was too weak and couldn't do it. Her grandpa watched and smiled as she tried to use her power.
"Myla , don't use your energy right now. If you try to channel your inner energy right now, your organs won't be able to heal as quickly. I'll get you a normal painkiller for humans," her grandpa said as he went to get his medicine kit.
He carefully cleaned and disinfected Myla 's wounds so they wouldn't get infected, but she still had big cuts and a broken rib. She fought bravely and didn't complain, but as usual, her father didn't care where she was or if she was hurt. Even though Ernesh wasn't interested, Helmar knew that he had thrown a big party to celebrate his win.
Ed took out a painkiller and gave Myla twice as much as a reasonable person would. Even though it had been a day, she still wasn't fully better. It scared Helmar because werewolves tend to heal quickly. Even small wounds don't last long before they're all better. Bigger, more dangerous wounds, like big cuts, would heal in a few hours or at most a day. For a pure-blood, it didn't take that long for wounds to heal, and soon it was like they had never happened.
Myla had been in many fights before, and her wounds always healed quickly. This time, though, her body wasn't healing as quickly. She also had a broken rib, which meant she must have been hit by something sharp or dropped hard to the ground. He wanted to know what happened.
Myla took the medicine and laid down to rest. She couldn't sleep at first because of the pain, but as soon as the medicine started to work, she fell into a deep sleep.
When Myla woke up the next time, she saw that the room was full of light from the morning sun. She put her hand over her eyes to protect them from the sun rays that were hitting her face. She turned to the side and saw that her grandfather was sitting in a chair and reading a book while looking at the jungles around them.
The journal's. Reporters said that they had seen werewolves in the woods. His brows went up. People and werewolves signed a treaty more than 200 years ago that said they wouldn't contact with each other and that werewolves would have to hide if they wanted to live on Earth with humans. Because of this, the werewolves hid who they really were.
Most of them stayed in the forests with their own kind, but a few of them were brave enough to go out and mix with people.
One of these girls was Myla . Since she was a child, she had been too strong-willed and wanted to hang out with people. There were schools made just for werewolf children, but Myla was adamant about going to school with humans. Her father let her do it. To him, it didn't matter if she died with them or not. She was lucky that Helmar was always around to teach her how to act around people. She had learned how to stay out of sight after years of practise.
Myla gave her grandpa a smile, took off the sheets, and got out of bed. "Good morning, Grandfather!" she yawned.
All of her cuts had healed, and she looked just as beautiful as she had before. When she smiled, she gave off a bright aura. Her grandfather stood up and used the magazine to hit her on the head.
"Ouch!" she yelled, and her aura quickly vanished as she got mad at her old grandpa.
"You know how to make people nervous!" he growled at her. "After you eat breakfast, you have to tell me everything about your fight with the enemy, including how you broke your rib."
"What fracture, Grandfather?" she poked at her ribs to find it, but all she could find were her toned muscles.
Ed groaned. "Get ready for breakfast. I want to hear all about it after."
"But Grandpa, I want to go to college. I've already missed a few days of classes." Myla hadn't been able to go to college since the battle started and her father told her to fight with her brothers.
"Sorry, young lady, but you can't go to college today. Stay home and tell me everything!"
Myla was worried that she had missed lessons that were important. She had just started college in the fall as a student. Myla 's IQ is 160, so it wasn't hard for her to do well on her college entrance tests and get a perfect SAT score. Almost every university she applied to let her in, but she decided to go to the one her grandfather had picked out for her.
She pouted and looked at him with 'pretty please' eyes to get him to let her go, but nothing worked. Myla had no choice but to admit loss, so she went to take a shower while her grandfather went to make her favourite breakfast.
Half an hour later, she was sitting in front of her grandpa and telling him all about the important things that happened during the war.
She ripped through them one by one, feeling the excitement of the fight as they fell. The enemy had broken through their last line of defence, and Myla fought hard to defend the only place she had ever known as home.
Each one she killed seemed to be replaced by two more, like some crazy monster. Five wolves were all around her, and she only had a knife on her. She made that knife herself, and the edge was so sharp that it could cut through limbs like butter.
Myla turned quickly, killing the wolf in front of her as she jumped off its body and flipped in the air to stab the one jumping at her from behind. The other wolves started to sneak up on her, and while she waited, she tensed her muscles.
