The Rage of the Vampire

855 Words
Crutex arrived back at the coven.  There were just three vampires living with him in the beginning.  Now, there were a dozen.  There were too many; so far, he has managed to keep them all under control.  Using the dragons for food was supposed to have been easy. Once the dragons realized he was their enemy it got harder and harder. He had to have help.  It was better to use the dragons than have to chase the smaller prey of the forest.  Too many relied on the animals.  His decision to trap and hold one of the dragons seemed like a good idea at the time.  It was easy to bring food to it from the deep waters.  He couldn't keep the dragon much longer.  They had to torture it to lure in the other dragons at feeding time.  The dragon was beginning to show signs of decline.  He had used the King to keep his people away from the feeding site.  When the people had ventured out to learn what the King was doing they simply disappeared.  The people feared the King and obeyed him. He knew it was only a matter of time before he had to figure out a new plan. Last night was an unusual night.  He had no need to feed; he let the others enjoy without his direction. He would be able to assess them all and see their true natures and ranking.  He meant to sit and watch them.  Whatever came over him was something he had never experienced.  He had never found the need for intimacy.  He hated what he was.  It was not his choice.  This life had been forced upon him.  It was a woman that had seduced him and then transformed him.  Last night he had felt the need for revenge.  He could hear her calling him just as she had in the past.  He couldn't resist her then.  He tried to resist the sound of her voice.  The more she called him the more his blood boiled.  He could hear her heart beats and they got louder and louder.  His fingers could feel the blood as it traveled in her veins.  He didn't care that it was her.  He only had "the rage" then.  He had to go to her.  She was in the castle.  He had to be careful  In this rage he was sure to be seen.  He had to go to her. She was the Queen.  Crutex knew how to avoid being detected.  He can still picture her as he entered the room.  He didn't look at her face.  He was more interested in the large veins in her neck.  She ran her fingers over them and they bulged larger. He sniffed her and she smelled so sweet.  As he reached her, she had pulled back not allowing him access.  He grew angry.  He grabbed her hair and pulled her to him. He meant to have the taste of her blood that called him.  She resisted again.  His whole body had been engulfed in the rage.  His human side as well.  He didn't know whether to claim her or feed off of her.  He wanted it all.  He wanted to possess her body.  He wanted to fully have everything she had to offer.  He couldn't control himself.  He had bit her everywhere tasting small drops of blood.  He didn't want to stop.  Thinking back upon the deed, he realized that she had brought him there for a purpose. Even now, remembering what had happened, between the two of them, he could not understand his own actions.  He had been possessed when he took her.  He had only thought of possession as the means to get to feed off of her.  He never did.  He bit her with pleasure.  He tasted of her but he didn't feed.  He had enjoyed her.  When the moment came that ended it all, he hit her.  He didn't want it to end.  He wanted more he wanted to feed off of her now, he was hungry.  She wouldn't let him.  He got so angry that he pulled some of her hair out to show her who was in control. She let him abuse her.  She let him see what a vile creature he could be.  She looked at him and her skin began to glow.  "Go now Leon. You have done what you had to do.  You can control who you are.  The Dragon you keep, you need to find some compassion for him and let him go." He was taken aback that she knew of the dragon.  She had used him and literally had dismissed him.  He, Leon Crutex, being dismissed by a woman.  He straightened himself all the while watching her return to her bed.  She did not clean herself up.  He left her as she had requested. It was as if the memory of last night had made him ill.  Was it being with her that made him feel so or was it something else.  He needed to rest. Wrestling with the Queen was more tiring than wrestling with a dragon.
