“What?”

“You look just like her, without the boring fringes of course. Has no one ever told you that?”- the prince looked irritated

Alexein couldn’t believe what she was hearing.

Is he complimenting her or mocking her?

“I've only ever heard of the first queen, Ive never seen her pictures”- She answered

“Oh right, father issued all her portraits be locked in the royal library, no wonder “

Alexein felt like it was an opportunity to ask about the royal library. But she had to be careful first.

“Are your Knights not with you Your Highness? “

“I left them thinking I was in my room”- He said and laughed

“My prince, Im quite intrigued. Are you sure I look just like the First Royal Queen?”

“Yes, you don’t think I'm lying are you?”- his eyebrows curled

“O-of course not, Your highness, I know you're very smart, but I'd still want to see it for myself”

“Well too bad, Father doesn’t allow anyone to see her”- Alexein felt confused, was there another way to see her other than the portraits?

“You mean to see her portraits in the library right Your Highness? I've heard you can give anyone access”

The prince stood up acting all suspicious.

“ My father would kill me if I would let anyone enter the library”- prince Arthur

He's already going to kill you.- in her mind

“Just a peak your highness, I just want to see if I really resemble her Majesty, I promise I won't tell” – she pleaded

“Id have to think about it, come now, the princess must be waiting”

Alexein went back alone while the prince found a different pathway he chose to get back to the palace.

“My lady, where have you been ?” Carlos with worry written on his face

“Forgive me sir Knight, Your Highness, I must’ve wandered off picking the flowers “- She reasoned

“That’s all right, did you take lots?”- The Princess, and made a huge circle using her hands.

“I did your highness”- they made bouquets out of the flowers and each gave a present to the Prince and the King.

As night fell everyone kept talking about the upcoming Blood moon. It happens every seven years. It’s one of the nights that the Kingdom doubles their defense. Because the monsters, on the night of the Blood moon always finds their way together and wreaks havoc.

“Queen Avira’s magic are still in place, its impossible to penetrate” – Serena

“But what if it cracks or something”- Lily acting scared and worried

“Come now children, none of those silly folktales anymore “- Katherine

“ You very well know they’re not”- Chef Sonny

They were all in the Kitchen waiting for the Royal Family’s dinner to be over

“ Sonny, don’t encourage them”- she warned

“ You know what happened then”- Chef Sonny

“And you know it is not to be spoken about”- Katherine’s face turned serious and made Sonny quiet.

“ What do you think Alex?”- Thomas as he turned to Alexein who was fixated on the conversation Katherine and Sonny just had.

“Alex?”

“What? Oh sorry, I’m just worried about the princess, she was kind of nervous about the dinner “- She answered

“Don’t worry too much, she’s a princess she’ll be fine”- Thomas

They continued to talk, unaware that a pair of eyes were intently watching them from the covers of the night.

At the dinner table, the princess was seated in front of the prince by the side of the King.

"So princess, when is your birthday"- The King asked, in continuation if their conversation

" I'll be turning eight on the 3rd day of the eleventh month your majesty"- she answered with grace.

The prince was quietly watching his food and likely playing with it.

" Oh, the Prince's birthday happens on the tenth month"- The King happily added

The princess smiled in excitement.

"What gift would you like prince Arthur?"- Princess

Arthur continued to watch the food and notices a bit of disarray in the soup, his eyebrows raised in confusion

An earthquake?- he thought

"Your Highness?"- he went back to his senses and saw the King and princess looking at him

"Oh sorry, what was that?"- he acted normally and shrugged the feeling off

"The princess was asking you what present you would want for your birthday?"- The King looked pretty pissed

"It's alright princess, I mostly already have everything I could ask for here"- He answered and noticed the soup again, clearly something was happening

" Father, princess would you excuse me for a moment"- he said and stood up to get to door

"Von"- he called and his Knights appeared in a flash

" What is happening?"- Prince Arthur

" My men are already on the move your Highness, although it looks like the Kings Knights beat us to it"- Von

Arthur looked back to the King and saw his advisor whispering something to him.

"Find out whats going on and report back to me"- Prince Arthur

He want back to his seat and looked at the King

"Is something wrong Father?"- Arthur

"No, nothing is wrong. You kids continue your dinner, I have to check on something first"- King, and left with his advisor

"My prince, are you sure you're alright?"- Princess which the prince simply smiled at.

In the Kitchen

Alexein was helping Mary and Serena wash the dishes when they felt the kitchen move.

"woah, did you guys felt that?"- Mary

Serena walked towards the door and looked for anything suspicious.

"It's probably nothing, let's finish all this and get some sleep okay"- Serena

After a few minutes, the ground moved again.

" The ground! its shaking!"- Mary

"Mary! Alex! come here"- Serena reaching out to the two to get underneath the table in the kitchen

"What is happening? "- Alexein

Serena continued to hug the two of them until the shaking stopped

"Hurry, lets go find Katherine "- Serena and went out of the table, holding Mary

Alexein felt something was outside the Kitchen so she slowly walked out to check.

"Alexein, what are you doing?"- Mary

"I thought I saw something"- she said

"Nevermind it was probably nothing--"- And in an instant, Alexein was grabbed by something that looked to be a dark cloak.

"AHHHH"- Mary and Serena yelled and ran inside the Palace.

The Prince ordered everyone to stay at the Ballroom for a headcount.

"Where is Alexein?"- Katherine, the Chamberlain asked in destress

"Miss, something took her "- Serena answered, crying

Katherine quickly went to the prince to report that one of the children were missing, and the Princess's lady in waiting at that

"Von, come with me. Others stay here and protect the others"- prince Arthur

Meanwhile:

Alexein was being carried out of the castle by very familiar hands. Jumping from roof to roof of the Kingdoms villages.

"Aunt?"- The person stopped and gently lowered her to one of the roofs.

"Alexein"- she said and took off her hood

"*gasps* Aunt!"- Alexein jumped in excitement and hugged her

"What is happening? why are you here?"- Alexein

"Alexein, child there is something you must know"- She said with full seriousness

"We are currently being attacked by monsters from outside the barrier, The Queens powers are depleting by the day and only you can prevent it from getting detroyed and save all of the people in the Kingdom"- She said which only gave Alexein a sense of confusion

"Aunt what are you taling about?"- Alexein asked

"I have no time to explain, first I need to get you to Her Majesty's body and get out of here"- She continued to carry Alexein and went into an underground tunnel

"Where are we?"- Alexein

"Follow me child"- Alexein, although full of questions couldnt help but follow her aunt

"Here we are"- She said after going through every paths in the tunnel.

Alexein looked around. It was an enclosed space like a big cave with trees and other living flora and fauna in it. Big roots were enveloping the cave in circle.

They continued to walk into the center of it and in there was a throne.

Her aunt got closer, knelt and kissed the hand of the woman sitting on the throne.

Despite her pale skin and thin body, her beauty did not leave her. Her brown hair flows greatly with the trees and her scepter kept within her hand and still standing.

"She is Her Majesty, Queen Avira Arkavia, first Queen of Arkavia, A very loving and brave Queen she was, born of royal elvish blood"
