Melissa’s POV
The huge wolf spirit loomed over me, its luminous eyes focusing on mine with such force that I felt a chill. Every motion it made exuded strength and elegance, and its silver fur glistened in the moonlight. I held up a hand to stop Kane, who was standing next to me with his weapon ready.
I added quietly, more to myself than to anybody else, "This isn't his fight."
