CHAPTER 9 Arriving home I’m so intent on getting up to my flat to get warm and dry, I almost missed the envelope left on the hall table. It only bore my name, no address so it must have been hand delivered; I didn’t recognise the writing either but gave a slightly dismissive shrug. I’’ll have a look as soon as I’ve got my wet clothes off and made myself a cup of hot coffee. I entered the kitchen diner and placed my jacket and scarf on the back of a chair to dry while I made the coffee.
