CHAPTER 27 I spent an extremely uncomfortable night in the police cell made more uncomfortable by the sullen looks I kept getting from Liliad who made it quite plain that she was not impressed. ‘I don’t know why you’re being so unpleasant; if I hadn’t absolutely insisted on your staying with me you’d most likely be sitting on a shelf in some evidence store.’ Liliad simply scowled and turned her head away.
