Don’t touch her

I wake up alone in my bed. Instantly I’m cold and I try to cover up more. The thoughts of what happened start to replay in my mind. She was my mate. Megan was my mate and I had marked her. Suddenly realization creeps in. I marked her and she is my brother’s girlfriend. How is she going to hide that from him. Is she even going to tell him her mate is his sister and I marked her? I’ve ruined her. Something isn’t right with me, I’m a black wolf in a white wolf pack. There has to be an explanation. Just then I felt a sense of fear. I had nothing to be scared of so why was I afraid. Then I realized it’s not me feeling scared.. it’s Megan.

I get up and find my way down the hall to peek into the kitchen and that’s when I see it. Somehow my thoughts had clouded my mind cause now I can hear him yelling. Luke is yelling at my mate.

“Oh you’ve got to be f*****g kidding me!”

“It’s not like I chose this. The Moon Goddess paired us this way.”

“With my goddamn sister?!” He shouts at her. I can feel the panic from her, and I guess she senses the anger from me and stiffens.

“I’m sorry Luke.” She whispers.

“Sorry doesn’t f*****g cut it! She marked you for f***s sake! What, did you guys have s*x?”

All she does is shrug and look at the ground.

“Perfect. Of course! You know, this is what you do. I heard it from all the other guys in school but I didn’t want to believe it. I thought you changed! But you’re still just a whore.”

Im about to speak but before I can I hear my mate whisper something.

“f**k you.” She looks up into his eyes. He must have heard her because the next sound I hear is a slap. I watch my mate fall to the ground holding her cheek.

I run through the living room into the kitchen and my fist collides with his jaw. He didn’t expect it and he stumbles to the ground. I take the advantage I get to climb on top of him and keep swinging. I can hear bones cracking, only I don’t know if they’re from my fists or his face. Once his face is puffy and swollen I get up and kick him in the ribs. I bend down and whisper in his face.

“Don’t you ever touch my mate again.”

I get up and kick him right in the face, hearing the satisfaction of a broken nose. I look to Megan and she’s crying her eyes out, staring at Luke on the floor. I grab her hand and pull her towards the front door. I know with his wolf healing he will be fine in an hour at most. We run out the door and into the woods. I quickly shift, not taking time to strip my clothes off before. I turn and look at Megan. She’s just standing there. I can’t tell what’s going through her mind, so I mind-link her.

We have to go. Now.

I can’t just leave him like that.

We don’t have any other choice.

I have to go make it right.

Meg you can’t. Please just shift and let’s go.

Meet me at our spot at 6. I’ll be waiting.

She takes off back to the house and I can feel my heart burning from not going with her. But I can’t. I turn around and take off. Ducking and dodging trees I run out as far as I can. Eventually I hit the territory line. I’m desperate and have no idea what I’m going to do. I can’t go back after what I did. Suddenly everything around me goes quiet. Thinking Megan is coming I turn around and look for her. I see a white wolf creeping up on me and I realize this is not my mate. I get into attack position and the wolf walks out of the tree line. It’s a much larger wolf than any other one I have seen. And then I understand. Alpha.

I know what you did.

I-I’m sorry alpha. I don’t know what came over me, he hit my.. best friend. I had to stop him.

An attack on one pack member is an attack on the whole pack.

He lunges for me and I jump out of the way.

Alpha please!

He ignores my cries and comes after me again, this time I’m not as fast and he catches my neck. I cry out in pain and struggle to get away but it’s no use. He squeezes my neck and I can feel myself slipping into darkness. Just before it completely engulfs me he releases me. I’m panting trying to fill my lungs back up with air. I feel myself trying to pass out but I fight it. Then he speaks.

I, Alpha Jared White, banish you, Leah Lunar, from the New Moon Pack.

And just like that my whole body is screaming in pain. I let out only a whimper. It’s finally happened. I no longer belong to a pack. The people that have tormented me for 3 years, I’m finally free from. I am a rouge. I close my eyes and let my mind drift to Megan. I have to see her one last time. Goddess I love her. And with my final thoughts I pass out.
