Chapter 59 I can be melodramatic at times. But I didn’t think I’d really jump out of a window until I did it. Jumping from the top of a tower is ill-advised for most occasions. But doing it in the Waking—which my tower exists in—is definitely not wise. But stubborn me, I do it anyway. Well, it might be more about desperation than stubbornness, but it’s hard to tell the two apart sometimes. As soon as I leap out of the window, I know I’m in trouble. I fall like a rock. But I don’t just fall through the air unencumbered. My leap didn’t clear the brambles climbing up my tower. I fall through the brambles, getting torn to shreds on the way down.
