Chapter 42 I lurch through the thin barrier between the Dreaming and the Waking and stagger into my tower. The air feels warm even though the gauzy bed curtains flutter in the breeze. Leaning against the stone wall, I slide down and hug my knees on the floor. The wall behind me feels slightly warmer than the air, as though the stones have been absorbing sunlight all day. I’ve never noticed that before, particularly since sunlight never beams into my chamber. It calms me, giving me comfort. I’m back in my sanctuary.
