“It’s okay, Flower. We are almost there.” Jaxon said in a soft voice.
“It hurts. I feel like I’m on fire. Everything is hot; I can’t. Ahhhh!!!” I screamed as I felt one of my bones crack.
“We’re here,” He said as he placed me on a soft blanket.
“It hurts so much,” I said through gritted teeth trying to numb the pain.
“We know, baby,” The four brothers said, stroking my hair.
“Tylor and I will set up a perimeter to make sure nothing happens,” Axel said, bowing his head.
“Thank you, all of you,” I said, screaming as I cried in pain when another bone broke and snapped together again. “Ahhhhh goddess, help me!!!”
“Shhh, it’s okay, Flower. We’re here with you. You can make it through the pain.” Daren said as he held my right hand.
“Once you make it through, it’s the most wonderful thing in the world. Talking to your wolf and running with them is unlike anything you’ve ever felt.” Jaxon said, holding my left hand.
‘Wisteria, we are about to shift. You need to bare with it. Don’t lose yourself, and stay focused!’ I heard in my head.
“Who is that? I hear someone talking!” I said in a panic.
“It’s your wolf. She will talk to you as you shift. Don’t ignore her. Let her in and talk to her. It will ease the pain.” Ryker said as he knelt by my head, stroking my hair.
‘Hi,’ I said to my wolf.
‘Hello, Wisteria. I’m your wolf, Ivy. You need to stop fighting the shift, let it in, and open up to me,’ she said.
“Ivy,” when I said my wolf's name, I could see her in my head as I reached out and pet her.
When I opened my eyes, I was standing. I looked down at my feet and saw white paws. When I looked up, I saw my mates standing before me in awe.
‘Mate,’ Ivy said, and suddenly we were barrelling towards them and knocked them over, licking their faces.
“You’re so beautiful, Flower,” The brothers said in unison, stroking our fur.
I nuzzled into their touch and started nipping at their clothes, trying to pull them off.
“You want us to shift?” Xaiden asked, so I started pulling on his dress slacks. “I’ll take that as a yes,” He said, laughing.
The four brothers undressed down to their boxers and knelt before me.
‘Do you hear me, Flower?’ Jaxon asked over mind link.
‘I hear you! Do you hear me?’ I said as I did little circles in excitement.
‘We hear you loud and clear!’ Ryker said, laughing over mind like.
‘We are going to shift now that we know you can mind link.’ Daren said as he stroked my fur.
‘Okay!’ I said, backing up.
Once they shifted, Ivy and I saw four beautiful giant black wolves. We walked over to them, licked their noses, and then bolted into the woods. Ivy wanted to know if they could catch us, and we ran so fast that the trees whizzed past us.
‘That’s not fair! Whose idea was it?’ The four brothers said in frustration.
‘Ivy wanted to see how long it took for you to find us,’ I said, laughing.
‘Their wolves are getting onto me too!” Ivy said, giggling.
‘I know Xander's name, but what are the others?’ I asked curiously.
‘Jake, Damion, Rider, and Xander,’ She said lovingly.
‘We are getting too close to the border of the pack. We need to turn around,’ I said, noticing the flower field we had ran into.
‘Or we could wait here for them. It’s such a romantic spot,’ Ivy said, taking a big whiff of the air.
‘No, not here. As we run, dig into my memory of what happened here. It’s not romantic at all,’ I said and ran left back toward the pack house.
As Ivy entered my memories, I relived the night my father almost took me. How the wind was swirling around me and how flowers sprouted up all around. I forgot Daren, and I were playing hide and seek and just danced around. Then my father came and tried to drag me away. When I screamed, he injected me with wolf’s bane, and I couldn’t fight back anymore and passed out. As we came to a swimming hole, I sat down, shifted back to my human form, and started crying.
‘That’s awful, but the spot isn’t what caused that to happen, Wisteria. And neither were you.’ Ivy said, trying to cheer me up.
“It was. It was my fault. I used my powers, and that’s how he found me. And knowing I put Daren in danger that night makes me feel worse. I don’t know how to face him sometimes. I put him through hell for ten years.” I said aloud, crying, as I sat by the swimming hole.
“That wasn’t your fault,” I heard Daren say from behind me and turned around.

As my brothers and I tracked Wisteria's scent, it led us to the flower field, where I had spent most of my free time since she left. When I realized she wasn’t there, I knew what had happened.
‘She’s not here, and she wouldn’t have stayed in this field,’ I said over mind link to my brothers.
‘How do you know she could be hiding,’ Ryker said in an amused tone.
‘No, this is where it happened. Her father. This place would upset her.’ I said, revealing what had happened here.
‘We need to find her. I have her scent. Let's go,’ Jaxon said, taking off to the left towards the swimming hole.
As we neared the swimming hole, we heard Wisteria crying.
“It was. It was my fault. I used my powers, and that’s how he found me. And knowing I put Daren in danger that night makes me feel worse. I don’t know how to face him sometimes. I put him through hell for ten years.” She said, crying, as she sat by the swimming hole. I could only assume she was talking to Ivy.
Hearing this, I shifted, slipping a pair of pants on from a nearby tree, and said, “That wasn’t your fault,” She turned around to look at me with her beautiful, sad eyes.
“Yes, it was. My mom told me when my powers came in, I needed to be within the pack house as soon as possible. I didn’t listen; I danced around and played with my powers. I was creating wind and blooming those flowers. I should have found you and gone home, but I didn’t. I put you in danger. I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. Because of me, we lost so much time together, and I want to go back and change things. You wouldn’t have wasted ten years of your life wondering if I was okay or going back to that field every chance you got.” She said, sobbing as she knelt on the ground.
“Looking for you and going to that field was never a waste of time. Every time I stepped into that field, I felt you there. It felt like you were sitting beside me, watching the birds and butterflies in the meadow. I would never regret anything that happened because it made you into the most beautiful, strong, and caring person I’ve ever met. Do I wish we had more time together? Yes. Do I wish you didn’t have to go through everything you did? Yes. But I wouldn’t change a thing about you. So I can’t regret anything in the past. What I will do is look toward the future. With you by our sides as our Luna.” I said as lumps grew in my throat as I held back the tears burning my eye.
When I heard a sniffle, I turned to see my brothers and remembered our plans for tonight. But now that was forgotten, and I knew we should ask her what we had been dying to ask for days now.
‘Would now be the right time to ask?’ I asked my brothers over mind link.
‘Defenantly,’ They all said back in unison.
“And I know they feel the same way,” I said as my brothers came out of the forest and stood beside me.
“We love you, Wisteria. And we want to be with you.” Xaiden said, walking towards her and pulling her to her feet.
“We know you might need some time,” Ryker said, gently grabbing one of her hands.
“But we wanted to ask you something,” Jaxon added as he cupped her cheek in his hand.
“Please don't freak out," I said as my brothers, and I surrounded her.
"I promise, but what is it you want to ask me?" She said, relaxing under our touch.
"Not here. We have something planned not far from here, though," Xaiden said with a wide grin.
"Do you trust us?" Ryker asked, pulling out the blindfold.
"Of course I do!" Wisteria exclaimed.
"Then let us lead you there," Jax said as she took the blindfold from Ryker.
"We also grabbed your clothes," I said, handing them to her.
"Thank you, I don't think you want anyone wandering around and finding me naked!" She chuckled as she put her clothes back on.
"No one is out here. We closed the woods for your shifting. The only people out here besides us are the patrols, Eliot and the Whitmore siblings, to keep you safe, and they are under strict orders not to look at you in human form." Jax said, helping her with her skirt zipper that was stuck.
"Who helped you with the zipper when you got ready?" Ryker asked skeptically.
"Eliot," She said nonchalantly.
The four of us growled lowly. As Wisteria started laughing, we got confused.
"Are you jealous? Eliot and I grew up together. He's my best friend. We used to change together all the time!" She said, laughing at us as we got mad.
"He's still a guy!" Ryker yelled.
"And he's gay!" She said, laughing hysterically at us.
"He's what?" Xaiden asked confusedly.
"He's gay!" She said again, laughing more.
"I feel better, but are you sure?" Jax said as he finished zipping her skirt.
"Yeah, I've caught him several times doing the dead in our shared bedroom. We also went to every drag night at the local gay bar since we were 14! I can give you all the details if you want!" She said teasingly.
"Okay! We don't need to hear about that. You made your point." Ryker said, putting his hands up in surrender.
"I did notice him and Tylor getting along pretty well. But is Tylor...." I tried asking if Tylor was gay, but Wisteria cut me off by putting her hand over my mouth and slowly shaking her head in warning. I nodded, and she took her hand away.
"Now, where are you taking me?!" She asked eagerly.
"First, put this on," Jaxon said as he went behind her and tied the blindfold over her eyes.

"Okay! We don't need to hear about that. You made your point." Ryker said, putting his hands up in surrender.
"I did notice him and Tylor getting along pretty well. But is Tylor...." Daren tried asking if Tylor was gay, but I cut him off by putting my hand over his mouth and slowly shaking my head in warning. When he nodded, I took my hand away.
"Now, where are you taking me?!" I asked eagerly.
"First, put this on," Jaxon said as he went behind me and tied the blindfold over my eyes.
"So mysterious," I said, teasing the brothers.
"It wouldn't be a surprise if it wasn't just a tad mysterious!" Xai said as he chuckled.
"True," I said, struggling my shoulders in surrender.
Even though I couldn't see, I knew it was Jax and Ryker that took my hands and started leading the way soon after Dare and Xai each grasped one of my shoulders, keeping me from falling. A little while later, we slowed down, and I could smell wildflowers all around us. Then we stopped. Jax and Ryker each took hold of one of my arms as they stood beside me, and Dare and Xai each put a hand on my waist and shoulder.
"Are you ready?" The four asked in unison, and I nodded excitedly.
When the blindfold fell from my eyes, I gasped at the sight before me with my hands clamped over my mouth. They brought me to a small field of flowers that had a picnic set up on a blanket with rustic lights hanging from the trees with rose petals and lanterns leading the way.
"What do you think?" Ryker asked smugly.
"Do you like it?" Xaiden asked with pleading eyes.
I walked forward a bit breathlessly. I turned around, ran into my four mates' arms, and said, "I love it! It's perfect!" as they all hugged me.
"We're glad you like it, Flower!" Xaiden said as he picked me up bridal style and kissed me as he walked down the path of roses.
"I don't like it. I LOVE it! But what did you want to ask me?" I said as he put me down on the blanket and sat on my right side.
"All in time, our impatient mate," Jax said as sat beside me to the left.
"Let's enjoy the food and night sky for a while," Dare said as he sat behind me.
"Let's forget everything and just enjoy this time together," Ryker said as he sat in front of me facing the other way and laid his head in my lap.
As he looked up at me, I brushed my hands through his hair, noticing it was freshly cut, so I looked at the others, who each had trims of their own, but none of them changed the style. Jaxon still had long, thick wavy hair, Daren had his thick shoulder-length hair, Ryker with his long hair on top and saved underneath, and Xaiden with shot spiky hair shaved underneath as well.
"You cut your hair. It looks nice," I stated as I leaned back into Daren, still playing with Ryker's hair.
"We wanted to look nice for you," The four said in unison.
"You always look good," I said as Daren started playing with my long curly raven black hair.
"Thanks, Love," Xaiden said, winking as he grabbed the picnic basket. "So, what do you want to start with? We have sandwiches, chips, spicy sausage, fruit salad, and chocolate-covered strawberries."
"Strawberries, please!" I said, beaming a giant smile.
"I knew it as soon as he listed the strawberries! You always started with dessert, even when your mom said no!" Daren said with a thunderous laugh.
"No, I eat a bit of the dessert, then eat the main course and go back to dessert!" I said, laughing with him, making the other three laugh with us.
"Some things never change," Jaxon said, lying down next to me and giving me a kiss on the cheek.
"Mhmmm, you mean like your snoring!" I teased him.
"Oh, you asked for it!" He said as he started tickling me.
"NO! Stop! hahahahaha! Jax! Stop. I'm going to piss my pants!" I said with uncontrollable laughter.
"I think she's serious Jax!" Daren said, laughing as I tossed and turned in his lap as Jax tickled me.
He stopped and said questioningly, "Are you?" with an eyebrow raised.
Trying to catch my breath, I lay there holding my stomach.
"Yes, I've had to pee since my shift started," I said, sitting up.
"Oh, sorry. You can go out here. We won't look. Just walk into the tree line out of sight." Jax said sheepishly.
"I'll be right back!" I said as I got up and walked towards the tree line.
"Don't take too long!" Ryker said, holding a strawberry in the air.
"I won't you tease!" I yelled back.
As I finished, I heard rustling in the bushes and assumed it was one of the brothers trying to scare me.
"I heard you. You're not going to get me that easily. You should really work on your stealth." I said, laughing, but when I caught a strange scent in the air, I knew it wasn't the brothers.
I turned around and saw a young child, around seven years old, bloodied and bruised. She looked scared. The child was shaking and whimpered when I tried to move toward her. Her chestnut brown hair was in knots with twigs and mud in it.
"It's okay. I'm not going to hurt you. Can you tell me what your name is?" I said, crouching in
front of her and grabbing her hands gently.
"Stella," She said in a weak, fragile whisper.
"Hi, Stella. I'm Wisteria. Can you tell me what happened to you?" I asked as I looked her over.
"My sisters, they have my sisters," She said, crying.
"Who has your sisters?" I asked, wiping her tears away.
"Hunters, they killed our coven to get to us." She said, crying more as I cradled her in my arms.
"Shhhh, it's okay. I'm going to bring you with me to my mates, and we are going to help. You don't have to be scared of us, okay?" I said softly so I wouldn't scare her, and she nodded.
