Chapter 50: Office Disputes
Jonathan Sanders noticed that his ploy of feigning pain was effective, and he began to take full advantage of it. One moment he would complain about a sore leg, the next about an aching back, always asking her for a massage, almost as if he wanted to hang onto her all day long.
But by nightfall, he would tenderly make up for it, showering her with affection.
A few days later, however, Jonathan Sanders keenly observed something amiss with Isabella Gomez.
She used to love going to work, practically wanting to plant roots at the company, enjoying its creative atmosphere. But now, every time she stood outside the office building, she looked troubled.
