Delilah's POV
I keep an eye on the door. For someone to walk out and tell me that mom is awake. I really want to see her. I want to talk to her. They say you can only know someone's value when you lose them or almost lose them. This is that moment for me.
Also I keep looking around trying to find Avery. I tried my best to act like everything was fine, but I overheard dad and uncle Ivan's conversation.
They suspect that there was Avery hand in this. As much as I want to prove them wrong, somewhere in one corner of my heart I wonder if that can be true.
Uncle Drake and uncle Ivan are talking to each other about something. Aunt Lucia left with Roger just a minute ago. Aunt Phoebe and dad are talking about something in the garden.
