Carson was smiling as he watched HarrisOoh and Awe at the Christmas tree, "It's so big!" "Not the first time I heard that inthis apartment", Carson smirked, and Harris tipped his head back to lookat Carson, he frowned and glared at Carson who put his hands up, "you setthat one up kid". "Whatever". "Holy s**t are you being rude?"Carson flew forwards resting his elbows on his thighs and looking at the boy. "I'm sorry sir!" Harris panickedand bowed his head in shame. "Harris!" Carson was baffled,"I was kidding, it's okay to be rude and snarky sometimes" Carson ranhis hand through his hair and stood walking over to the man who sat in front ofthe big Christmas tree Carson bought just for this, he ruffed Harrison's hairand was shocked to feel how baby soft it was, it felt like velvet runningthrough his fingers, "you're okay dude" "I'm sorry sir" "Don't apologize" Carson smiledsoftly, "c'mon let's eat, then open gifts" "You're going to love what I gotyou" Harris smiled at his boss and they walked to Carson's kitchen. Carson cooked something simple and servedit up for the both of them. Carson discovered that Harris had never had his owntree, the town he grew up in cut down a huge one and put it in the middle oftown, he never had one in his own home. It broke Carson's' heart. They sat infront of the Couch and ate dinner, they talked about dumb things. Like favoritecolors and animals. Carson favorite color was periwinkle while Harris's wasblue. Carson loved dogs and Harris loves owls. They had more in common thanthey thought. Harris found himself sitting so close to Carson that their thighstouched as they ate roasted chicken and noodles. "So, what'd you get me?" Carsonnudged Harrisons shoulder and caused the younger man so to spill a few noodlesin his lap. Carson giggled and picked them up with his fork-eating themquickly. "Well wait here and I'll get it"Harris said, sliding his bowl on top of the glass coffee table and stoodup-patting Carson's knee. Carson watched in amusement as his internwalked around his apartment to his bag that sat next to the front door. Harrisbent over, and Carson let a small approving hum escape his lips, his pinktongue slipped out and wet his dry lips. Harris was wearing a forest green knitsweater –made by his ma- and dark jeans. Carson himself was in a red long-sleevedshirt and kackie colored pants. Harrison almost skipped back to the couchand set his present in front of Carson. It was wrapped in bright red wrappingpaper with a shiny silver bow stuck to the top. It was about as big as Carson'shand and he picked it up smiling. "You know you didn't have to actuallyget me anything" "Well did you get me anything?"Harris joked. Carson wrapped his arm around Harrison'sshoulders and squeezed, "of course I did- how could I not get my adorablelittle intern a gift when he's been so good dealing with me. It's in mybedroom" Harris watched Carson eagerly as hisfingers pried open the thick wrapping paper and he pulled out a black box,"What on earth did you get me?" Harris said nothing, just leanedcloser-wanting to see his boss's reaction when he opened the box. Carson poppedthe top and his breath caught in his throat. It was a wooden faced watch with asoft black wrist band and gold painted numbers and hands. "Harris this is stunning- and Ineeded a new watch- how did you know?" "You've been late to the office thelast week and a half, I took a guess" "Thank you so much" Carsonhugged Harrison very tightly. Harris laughed and nodded into Carson'schest. Carson looked down into his interns eyes, "C'mon I'll give you yourpresent" He said and stood up. Harris followed his movements and theywalked to the bedroom- Carson fixing the watch on his wrist. Laying on the bedwas a flat box wrapped in white wrapping paper with little red ornamentslittering over it. "Want to watch some T.V?" Carsonasked, and Harrison nodded, "you can open it by the way" Carson flicked on the Television andswitched over to Netflix, "I have this weird tradition, mind if we keep toit?" he asked as Harrison carefully unwrapped the gift. "Not at all, what is it?" "When I was a kid my dad forced me togo to church even if I didn't want to- as a piece of s**t angsty teenager I gotinto the super natural- a sort of screw you to my father. When the show cameout I got addicted and now I always watch A Very Supernatural Christmas onChristmas Eve" "Sounds odd" Harris admitted,"But fun" Harris lifted the bow cover and his eyesgazed upon the dark red flannel, "Carson this is awesome! It's sosoft!" Harris pushed his face into the shirt and nuzzled it, "reallysoft- thank you!" "It was no big deal" Carsonsmiled and set the remote down, "I'm going to get some ice cream, alright?" "Yeah" Harrison smiled. "You can get under the covers, it'spretty chilly here" "Thanks..." Harris suddenly feltodd. Carson walked out of the room and to thekitchen. He was happy- Felix had always ditched him to go to some holiday partyand hated watching supernatural on Christmas Eve. Carson spent most of thenight alone. He grabbed a tub of chocolate ice cream and two spoons he walkedback to the room and tossed Harrison –who was happily tucked under a warmblanket- a spoon. "Like it?" "To be honest if I wanted to see twodysfunctional brothers argue I'd go home" Harris smiled, "but it'srather funny- I like Dean" "Me too" Carson said and shiftednext to Harrison in bed. They sat and watched the showuntil the screen went black- by the time the Netflix screen flicked to awaiting screen they were lost in each other- lips pressed close and armsentangled.
