"Have fun on your date" Carson said to Harrison as Harrison stoodin his apartment with his arms crossed firmly over his chest. Carson hadoffered Harris a drink after work and it turned into Nick just picking Harrisup from Carson’s place. Carson was kind of hoping he could convince his internthat going out with Nick was a bad idea but to no avail, and he couldn't stopthe pang of jealousy that pierced his heart.
"It's not a date" Harrison rolled his eyes and ran his handsthrough his short hair to ease the fraying strands over his forehead.
"Harrison, it is SOO a date" Carson sighed and leaned against theedge of his island counter, he crossed one ankle over the other and sagged hisspine, "it's never not a date with Nick,” he mumbled and bit the inside ofhis cheeks.
"But I'm not into dudes" Harrison said, “I’ll admit that Nick isvery good looking but I don’t think living in the city has changed me so muchthat I’ll start dating men” Harris said, trying to convince himself that thedream he’d had the previous weekend was just a drunken mistake and he wasn’tstarting to fall in love with men. He had nothing against the idea, but itwould be a major change and he wasn’t very good with change.
"Dating and relationships don't have much to do with gender in myopinion, it's about who the person is inside, and though I don't see the mostappeal in girls I have fallen in love with them before and I believe I stillcould, love doesn't depend of gender unless you're a shallow prick,” Carsonsaid, looking down at the ground to avoid Harris’s gaze. While he didn’t wantHarris to date Nick, he wanted to encourage Harrison to explore his sexuality. He might just find out that he was attracted to men, maybe even his boss…
Harrison just looked at his boss, trying to understand what Carson had justsaid to him, was he giving him the green light to date his best friend, I meanHarrison wouldn't dispute that Nick was stunning, and that body...even withoutreally seeing it Harrison could tell it was amazing, and Nick was nice, he hadan honest smile, a deep voice, and a nice attitude.
"He's a nice guy Harrison but you really need to be all in with him, hehates floaters, if he likes you he'll want you, forever,” Carson warned.
"Is being a submissive that bad with him?" Harris asked, a newwave of nerves crashing down on his shoulder and was suddenly began to rethinkthe whole situation, was this really a date? Did Nick expect to have sextonight? Could Harrison even have s*x with another man?
"Wouldn't know,” Carson shrugged his shoulders, “never been hissubmissive. But I’ve never seen one of his boys be upset or in pain. His boysare always healthy, they are happy and love him, he loves them back, but thisall depends on how much of you you're ready to give up, he'll wait a little bitbut once again. If he wants you, he wants you now"
"We're just going out for drinks" Harrison told himself and hefelt Carson move to stand beside him but leaning against the side table next tohis hall closet and facing him.
"If you don't like something call me and I'll pick you up in a second,I know him and as much as I love him I know that he's an overpowering guy andfor some it's too much, I'll support whatever decision you make" Carson smiledand fixed Harrison's tie.
Harrison watch this boss as he smoothed out Harrison's clothes and fix hishair, "there, you look just dashing,” Harrison always felt warm andprotected when he was near Carson. The red head had a soothing way about himand Harrison had to physically stop himself from leaning into Carson’s warmth.
"I hate your city lingo, I hope you know that sir,” Harrison teased ashe tried to focus his attention away from how close Carson was standing to him.
"No one in the city says that, no one says that period, I'm just weird,"Carson laughed
"Sir, do you have anyone you're interested in?"
"I might" he smiled, knowing this attraction to his intern wasmore than just s****l tension to him, "I'm just testing the waters"Carson winked and smirked, "Nick will be picking you up soon,” he said abit sadly. He wanted to demand that Harrison stay here where he was close, buthe didn’t want to stunt the younger man’s growth.
Carson had realized it a week ago, he pulled Kate into his office the Mondayafter the drinking event and practically begged her to do something about thepain in his chest. She insisted that she couldn’t do anything and that she washappy to see Carson moving on. Carson cursed at his ex-girlfriend and dearfriend before settling down in his chair and sighing. “I like him,” he hadmuttered to Kate, “I am such a cliché, getting a crush on my intern.”
Carson and Harrison sat quietly until Nick knocked on Carson's door, Carsonanswered it and shook his friend's hand, "and tell me why I'm letting youtake my son on a date" Carson laughed.
"Because that little country boy means more to you than you know, whichis why I'm scooping him up now" Nick smirked and Carson rolled his eyes.
"Please be gentle, he has a job to do," Carson pleaded.
"Oo kinky, doing in on your desk," Nick winked and chuckled
"I will hurt you, all of you!" Carson snapped, and Nick smiledpeeping his head around Carson to see Harrison pulling his boots up.
"Couldn't even get him to wear dress shoes?" Nick shook his headin amusement.
"I don't have that power out of the office, he's a country boy, andhe'll never get used to city stuff"
"It's cute, don't ya think, dress pants and cowboy boots, god blesshim"
"Be nice to my intern!" Carson smiled, and Harrison got up fromthe chair and walked over to the two not knowing what they were talking about.
"Ready?" Nick asked with the snake grin too many people fell for,but Harrison had been immune to snake grins since he was a child, he had aBlake and Randy to thank for that, that only meant that he saw past that snakegrin, right to the kitten smile under it.
He nodded, and Carson patted his back and closed the door behind him. Nicksmiled at Harrison, "so what do you think of Carson?"
"What do you mean sir?"
"Do you call everyone sir?" Nick asked, and his hand brushed byHarrison's and he smiled, he would win the boy over soon enough.
"I was raised that way, anyone who is my superior was referred to asSir or Mam" Carson said.
"Just for tonight, just for dinner, don't think of me as a superior, Iwant you to get to know me before anything happens" Nick suggested.
"Yes sir...I mean Nick"
"Good boy" Nick ran his hand over Harrisons hair.
Nick and Harrison made small talk throughout the evening until Nick steeredthe conversation to romance. Harrison had quickly figured out over the eveningthat he was much more attracted to Nick than he previously thought. He wasthrowing caution to the wind like he had never done before and allowing himselfto get swept away in the tides of emotions. After dinner had been finished,Nick ordered them both deserts.
"Have you ever been a submissive Harrison?" Nick asked, slipping afork of cheesecake between his lips, drawing Harrisons eyes to his lips aswell.
"No, I haven't,” Harrison admitted, eyes fixed on the pink lips infront of him, the doubts he had earlier in the night were gone, all he cravedwas affection now, Nick’s affection.
"You don't seem like you are opposed to it, I don't think you'd be herewith me if you were"
"Mr. Jefferson told me that relationships don't really depend ongender, they depend on the partners," Harrison repeated confidently.
"So, you, would not be opposed to trying this out with me?" Nickreached out and covered Harrisons hand with his.
"Um...I'm a bit scared to be honest, I’ve never been with a man andevery other relationship I’ve ever had ended badly so I'm scared"
"Harrison, when you are in my arms all those other relationships don'tmatter, if you'd like it..."
"I asked Carson if you were cruel and he said no, but..."
"You want to hear it from me"
"Yes 'sir"
"I have my rules, I have my needs, I won't hurt you unless you consentto pain as a form of punishment…or pleasure. But no, Harrison, I will not hurtyou for fun, I will not force you to do anything, if there is ever a time youfeel uncomfortable then say so and if you want to end this then we will, eventhough this is a Dom/sub thing we would be doing you have a big say in it, Icare about my subs and I want them to feel safe, okay?"
"Okay sir"
Nick slid into the seat next to Harrison instead of the one across from him.
"Harrison, we don't have to do this, we can just be friends" Nickleaned close to him.
"C-c-can w-we umm...try it?" Harrison blushed a deep red andlooked down.
"Harrison look at me" Nick tried a command and was pleasantlysurprised when Harrison's face and eyes raised immediately, "good boy, andyes, we can try it"
Nick kissed Harrison on the temple, "you're a good boy Harris"
"Thank you sir" Harrison smiled.
