Moira's Little Plan

1048 Words

“Am I late?” The voice was soft and slightly hesitant yet clear. Adrian blinked slowly and turned his head. For a moment, the world in his office seemed to stop spinning. His lawyer turned his head, too, and froze. His gaze fell on a girl standing in the doorway. She looked so young, contrasting with the cold atmosphere of the room. She had an oval face, clean skin the color of marble with a natural pink hue, and small, calmly parted lips. Her brunette hair fell softly on her shoulders, and her eyes looked calm and honest, full of newfound courage. No wonder, the lawyer thought unconsciously. "A little late," said Adrian, his voice firm but controlled. "But that's okay. My lawyer will take care of all your problems." The lawyer gasped. He looked from Aidrian to Moira and back again.
