Now, he serves the wine. My chest feels airy as I watch wine being poured into my glass first. It’s been a nice experience so far—being exclusively catered to in a rented-out space. But just one glass of wine and no more. Wine guy finishes up with a smile at both of us and bows before taking his leave. Again, it’s just me and Alexander, the soft music playing, his scent, the flavorful aroma of delicacies and wine, and his hand still on my waist. I slowly turn my head to meet his eyes. His gaze is soft and inviting. His fingers tap softly against me, sending butterflies to my stomach. “We’ll check the pictures after eating.” He says, slipping his hands from behind me. I give him a nod. He picks up his cutlery, and I do the same. But mine is just a salad fork. I dip it into my food
