I drip sweat on my heated mat, pushing myself harder than ever in this hot Pilates session. Our Pilates instructor seems out for blood this morning.
“Sophia? Straighten your knees.” She calls.
Gasping for air, I lift my legs higher and hold up the weight ball. My core snaps tight.
I choke, shutting my eyes and wondering if I’ll survive this torture.
While I fight for my life, I go over my plan again in my head.
After Pilates on Saturdays, I go to the spa for a three-hour session
