~Thorne Electronics~
It’s the first day of October. The month I turn 24. And most importantly, it’s the month I get married. In thirty days, I’ll become Sophia Thorne.
Mr. Jack opens my door before I can snap out of my head. I lift my head, staring at the tall building before grabbing my purse.
Carefully, I step out of my mom’s car, and I’m hit by a cool gush of wind. It’s starting to get cold. “Thank you so much, Mr. Jack.”
“You’re welcome… I’ll wait till you’re done. Then I can take you home.”
“Okay,” I reply, wishing I could send him home so someone else would take me home instead. But I’ve not even heard from him.
