Sophia’s POV
“It’s hard to catch them in town. They’re always out of the country on a mission, or supporting a cause in several states.” Barbara tells me all about Alexander’s parents as I’m cinched into my dress.
Hands on my waist and huffing, I nod, wanting to hear more.
“I’ve only met them once when Alex was made CEO of Thorne Electronics. He barely talks about them.”
“Why?”
She shrugs.
I touch my hair in worry. “I got them gifts… I don’t know…”
“I’m sure they’ll love whatever you got them. You’re going to be their daughter-in-law.”
“I hope so.”
“Urgh! You’re so pretty!” She takes my hand, grinning from ear to ear.
