"Jadine!!, Jadine!!" grandma called from the living room.
"Yes, grandma" I replied, moving out of the kitchen to the living room.
"Sit down dear", Grandma said.
I sat down, curious to hear what she wanted to say.
Grandma sat upright and turned towards me. Then she began to speak
"Baby, I'm so sorry to bring up this matter again" she said. "But Jadine, you really need to go back to your parents. You've been away from them for so long now and it's doing you no good. Please, you need to go back to them. You are their only child. Please baby, you have to listen to me., she said and stopped talking, giving me space to reply.
"Grandma seriously!," I shouted. "Really, you seriously want me to go back to that damn house, back to that f*****g b***h and d**k-head that call themselves my parents, there's no way I'm gonna do that. I said, fuming with rage.
"Don't call them that Jadine. Don't use such foul language on them ever again". Grandma yelled.
"I'm sorry, grandma, I am just so pissed right now" I said, frowning.
"I understand, baby girl, just take your time and think through it, you have till the end of this week" Grandma said while getting up from the coach and leaving me to my own thoughts.
Jadine's POV
I sat in the living room thinking about what Grandma had just said. Maybe she was right. Maybe it's really time to go back to my parents. I thought, sighing. I didn't really have a choice anyway, because I was certain Grandma wasn't going to listen to me this time, which only meant that I would have to go back to my uncaring parents.
AT A MANSION IN PARIS
Laura's POV
"Hello, did you talk to her" I asked, pacing around the room.
"Yes I did, but she hasn't given me an answer yet" the voice at the receiver's end replied.
"Oh my!, what's she still waiting for? Please tell her to come back. We promise to treat her much better". I said while roughing my long black blonde hair.
"You don't have to worry, daughter. I'm sure she will come back this time and even if she doesn't, I will take her there myself.
"Please mom ju..."
"Laura, you don't have to worry, I'm dropping the call now. Take care of yourself and Marx, you will see your Jadine soon. Trust me".
"Mom just listen..." I tried talking again, only to find out that she had cut the call just as she had said.
"oooh" I groaned, sinking into the sofa and dropping the phone on the table.
"Hi sweetheart" I heard someone say behind me. I turned in the direction of the voice, only to find Marx walking towards me.
"Baby girl, what's up, why the sullen mood" Marx said, sitting beside me on the sofa.
"It's nothing",I said.
"Are you okay" he asked with concern.
"Yeah I'm fine" I said
"Come on Laura, we've been married for years now and I know you more than I know anything else. You're not fine and I know it. So what's it that's disturbing my beautiful wife?" He said, making me blush.
"Umm, I just spoke to mom about Jadine," I said.
"Soo has she agreed to come back", Marx asked sitting up.
"No she hasn't, but mom is so certain that she will come back this time" I said. "I don't know why Jadine hates us so much. She has to understand that we really didn't mean to leave her with stella, we just needed someone to take care of her while we were away. We are her parents for goodness sake" I said, with tears streaming down my eyes.
"It's okay baby don't cry" Marx said, taking me in his arms and wiping off my tears.
"I don't know what Stella did to my daughter, she is so lucky that she ran away. If I ever set my eyes on her again, I swear I am going to kill her", I said, fuming with anger as tears ran down my eyes.
"Babe, please stop crying. I don't like seeing you in tears. I also miss my daughter too, you know that, right?" Marx said, holding me closer, he leaned down and pecked my cheek, making me blush. I looked up at him and then leaned into his arms.
Jadine's POV
I am finally returning to my parents today. I had agreed to go back after much persuasion from grandma. Some of my few friends and classmates had come over to the house to bid me farewell and a safe journey. We were having a chit-chat when grandma walked into the room to inform me that my parents were waiting outside. I hugged my friends and classmates, took my luggage and headed outside. I met my parents talking to grandma. I walked towards them and immediately they saw me they drew me into their arms and hugged me. My mom planted kisses allover my face while dad pecked my forehead. We got into the car with them at the front and I at the back as we headed back to Paris.
