Winnie My body's numb. It hurts when I breathe. Tears threaten to appear. My vision blurs. I dress under Chandler's watchful eye. "You've been asleep all night," he says. Chandler doesn't move. He just watches me. I look around for my shoes. Where did I leave them? "These books are all about the grieving process. You like books—real books." He leaves the bed. I rush around the room, going nowhere fast. "You need these," Chandler tells me. I bump into him, stepping back. As I cross my arms over my breasts, avoiding his stare. "He's gone," Chandler touches my arm. "How many women have you screwed while you've been with me?" Chandler's head goes back as if I hit him. "None." I stumble back, tears blurring my vision. Chandler grabs my arm, pulling me to him. "
