Morning light slipped softly through the curtains, warm and golden against my skin. Dominic was already awake, moving around the kitchen like he owned the morning itself. The scent of pancakes and freshly brewed coffee filled the air, rich and comforting. I watched him for a moment, leaning against the doorway, my heart tightening in a way I couldn’t explain. He turned, catching me staring, and a slow smile spread across his face. “Come here,” he murmured. I didn’t need to be told twice. He fed me bites of pancakes between kisses, his touch lingering, possessive yet gentle. “Dinner tonight,” he said against my lips. “Then we take the jet to the Maldives, just us.” my heart lifted instantly. “Perfect,” I whispered.
