Jennifer's voice came out high-pitched and strained. I quickly pushed aside my wandering thoughts and rushed to her side, following her pointing finger with my eyes. What I saw made my breath catch in my throat. There was no poisonous snake, wild animal, or rare plant. Instead, I found myself staring at the wreckage of a rescue helicopter. The shattered propeller and scorched debris scattered around told the story of its crash, with even the supplies reduced to ashes.
