CHAPTER FOUR:THE FIGHT

Helena was more confused than she has ever been before. She decided to stay on the decision that wants to make so that she won't make a mistake. It was the decision she took months ago that landed her in such a critical condition. She has learnt her lesson the hard way.
One day as she was going to the market to get some items for herself and her baby she met Kael Blackstone, her second chance mate.
“Hello pretty, please excuse me” Kael said, approaching Helena.
Helena was surprised that a young and handsome wolf was stopping someone like her that is heavily pregnant. She has taken her life the way she saw it, rejected and frustrated.
Helena didn't want to snub him so he stopped to hear what he had to say.
“I'm Kael Blackstone. Nice meeting you.” he introduced himself.
Helena gently smiled.
“I'm Helena. Nice meeting you too” she responded.
“I guess you’re on your way to the market right? he asked with his calm voice.
Helena nodded
“Please let me have your contact so that I can speak with you later in the day” he requested.
They exchanged contact and went their separate ways.
Kael Blackstone loved Helena so much that he took good care of her and her unborn child.
Kael made Helena's new home lively. She knew nobody when she came to the place. She had no friends to call hers until Kael came into the picture and became everything to her and she never felt it that she was new in that environment because of the presence of Kael in her life.
One evening, Kael visited Helena as usual to know how she's faring. Her stomach was becoming bigger and bigger. It was her third trimester.
“My love, you're almost due. I can't wait for you to have this child that will finally be my child. I’ll soon be a father.” Kael said, rubbing her stomach.
Helena couldn't help but let out a short laugh. She hasn't felt the way Kael had been treating her for a very long time. For her, Kael was a god-sent to her and ever since he came into her life, her life took a new shape.
Kael was having a good time with Helena when they heard a knock on the door.
They were so carried away that they didn't want to open the door. The one knocking insisted and kept knocking.
“My love, someone is knocking on the door. Please can you help me to check who it is” Helena pleaded to Kael.
Kael stood and walked to the door to know who it is that has been insistently knocking on the door. He opened the door and saw a werewolf in his late 40’s.
“Greetings. Please it's Helena home?” he asked, his voice very calm.
Kael nodded.
“Is she aware you’re coming to her house?” Kael asked.
The wolf shook his head.
“The reason you want to see her is it about something serious? “ Kael inquired, not giving in to his excuses easily.
He shook his head again.
“She's my friend and I'm here to know how she's faring with her pregnancy,” he responded.
Kael, being very sensitive and wise, knew he may be lying. He knows Helena does not have any friends in her new home.
Kael opened the door and allowed him in
As soon as he came in, he walked straight to where Helena was sitting and held her by the hand.
“I'm happy my baby is growing. I'm the one you’ve been speaking with all these while. I can't wait to have my baby.” he jumped up so excited.
Kael was surprised and confused at the same time.
“Helena, what is he talking about?” he asked, anger written all over his face.
Helena could not say a word because she was not just confused but scared that she might get hurt because the wolf looked so aggressive.
Kael walked straight to where the wolf was holding Helena's hand and removed his hand from hers.
Immediately, the wolf gave Kael a resounding slap that almost threw him to the floor.
Kael staggered and managed to stand back to his feet. He retaliated and a fight ensued between them.
Helena started screaming for help but nobody came to their rescue.
The fight lasted for 30 minutes after which they stopped.
Kael walked straight to where Helena was sitting shedding tears as she could not handle the situation at hand.
“Love of my life, I’m so sorry for all these that just happened. Don't worry you'll be fine” Kael rubbed her stomach.
“You lie. This baby belongs to me, I already told her. Once she gives birth, I’ll pay her off and carry the child. We’ve already agreed on this. You came late.” he bragged.
Kael immediately turned to Helena
“Did you have such a discussion with him?” he asked Helena.
Helena shook her head.
“I never agreed to this and will never agree to it” Helena snapped.
The wolf frowned.
“You think you're wise right? You’ll lose this baby now and your life too” he continued.
He stretched his hand on Helena's stomach and she started bleeding again. This time, it was worse than the last one.
“You either agree to my terms and conditions, or else I'll make sure you loose this pregnancy and bleed to death” he snapped.
Helena started screaming for help.
“Oh… Help oh…. I'm in grave danger. .. Help me. Kael please help me. Would you be here and I bleed to death” she cried uncontrollably.
The wolf let out a smug laugh.
“You are doomed. See your life gradually coming to an end.”
Kael did not say a word. He stepped outside, then came in immediately, went straight to where Helena was sitting and bleeding and touched her stomach, the bleeding immediately stopped.
Helena was so surprised that she stood up and hugged Kael, taking refuge at his
back.
The wolf frowned
“What did you just do?”
He stretched his hand to Helena's stomach but this time nothing happened. He tried it again and again and nothing happened.
He was so angry that he tried his left hand and nothing was happening.
He ran out of the house, then walked some miles, came back again and screamed:
“Get ready, the battle line has been drawn” he screamed and left immediately.
