Helena was still lost in thought on how she started bleeding after answering a call when her alarm rang. She checked her time and it was 11am. Helena jumped to her feet, freshened up, packed her bag and headed to her former pack. Entering the pack, the first person she met was Anabelle. Helena greeted. “Hello, Anabelle. Hope you are fine? Infact you are looking good” she admired smiling. Anabelle didn't respond to Helena. She ignored her and kept doing what she was doing acting as though nobody called her name. Helena was so shocked to her marrows that the only way herself was crying. But she tried to put herself together because she was outside. “Anabelle, are you ignoring me? You just suddenly changed. What happened to you, Anabelle? Have you forgotten your best friend? Helena inquired, her voice shaking. Anabelle stopped what she was doing and stared at Helena for a few seconds. “Please who are you? I can't remember having anything to do with you. How come you know my name? Anabelle asked, her voice so steady. Helena could not believe her eyes and ears. Her heart sank. Helena was still wondering why Anabelle changed when Kelvin came to see who was looking for him. Immediately, Kelvin saw Helena, his mood immediately changed. “Helena, what are you doing here?” Kelvin asked in a very harsh way Kelvin, please calm down and hear me out” Helena responded, so surprised at Kelvin's change of attitude. At a point she told herself she was at the wrong place because of the way Kelvin and Anabelle welcomed her but it dawned on her that she was at the right place. Kelvin managed to take her inside and offered her a seat. “So, what do you want? “ Kelvin asked again, harshly. Helena took a deep breath. She was afraid to tell Kelvin the reason why she came but she picked up courage and proceeded. “Kelvin, I’m pregnant. I'm carrying your children in my womb” Helena finally said, her voice almost shaking with fear. Kelvin's countenance changed immediately. “You are what?” Kelvin asked again to be sure he heard well. “I'm pregnant,” Helena repeated. “Who is responsible?” Kelvin asked again. Helena hesitated then answered. “Kelvin, you are the father of the baby I’m carrying and…. Kelvin interrupted her immediately “Will you shut up your stinking mouth? Who is responsible for your pregnancy? Me? God forbid, it can't be me. Do you think you can trap me to accept you as my mate by telling me you are pregnant? You have failed wolfy” Kelvin shouted at her, anger clearly written all over his face. Helena wanted to run away at the way Kelvin shouted at her. She has never seen Kelvin in this approach before. How is it possible that the one that loved her so much is now treating me this way? What did they tell him about me that made him hate me like this? Helena wondered. “Kelvin, I’ve not known a man all my life. You are the first to cross my legs and I gladly allowed you because I love you and I know you also did. I didn't know it’ll result in pregnancy if not I wouldn't have had that passionate night with you that fateful day” Helena explained, tears streaming down her eyes. Kelvin frowned. “Look at this p********e. No wonder, when they told me you are a p********e, now I believe. So, you’ve been jumping from one man to another and you don't even know the one responsible for your pregnancy. This is so shameful” Kelvin mocked her. Helena felt shivers run down her spine. “Kelvin! Kelvin! Kelvin!” “Helena or what did you call yourself, stop calling me so that I won't give you the beating of your life. If you have anything in that dirty womb of yours, go and flush it away and never ever come back here again to talk about the bastard you're carrying” Helena threw herself on the floor and started crying uncontrollably. “After giving my innocence to you, you rejected me and now you're rejecting your flesh and blood.” Kelvin stood and went straight to the door. “The door is open. Use the door now” he ordered.. Helena was still on the floor rolling herself and crying. Kelvin left the door and went closer to where she was lying on the floor. “I don't want to drag you. I was to give you that preference that you're carrying a bastard in your womb. Stand up and leave my house now and never return again, you whore.” he mockingly said. Helena thought that her tears would make Kelvin change his mind towards her that was why she insisted on staying when he ordered her to go. But when Helena saw that Kelvin was serious when he said she should leave his house. She managed and stood up and started walking towards the door. She was walking slowly, then Kelvin followed her, threw her out of the house and locked the door. Helena was still on the floor outside Kelvin's apartment, she couldn't stop crying . Her heart was racing. A lot was going through her mind. “Kelvin, please don't do this to me. This child is yours. This act of yours is something you would regret tomorrow. Please think twice” Helena screamed. She managed to stand up, picked up her bag and other things she came with and left for her house. The rejection deepens Helena's wound and she decides to leave the pack for good and settle in a new place to start her life afresh. But she took one decision: Never to abort the pregnancy as suggested by Kelvin. No matter the suffering, she decided to bring forth her child. As she got to her new place, her heart was still racing when she remembered the unknown voice that demanded she should carry the pregnancy, then at birth, she’ll give him the baby and he’ll pay him off. Now that Kelvin has rejected this pregnancy and thrown her out of his house, should she reach out to the unknown voice and agree to his terms and condition or should she stay in her new place and nurture her pregnancy after which she’ll have her baby” Helena wondered.
