Chapter 19

The Mine main gate....

Belitrus now expecting the arrival of Elvira any day from now, all going as far as he can towards the Mine entrance gate, the most deadly place in the mine are at the gate, where savagers are killed on sight without a question or inquiry

The mine entrance gate was a very large structure, almost like a building joining the mine and the outside world, one of the most heavily guarded places in most of the lands as there were built in automatic weapons all around the wall of the structure facing the mine

The weapon just like a large crossbow with its big super sharp arrow head, able to take a man's arm out or life in one hit, each operated by about four mine gate guard with about a hundred of them mounted up, facing the large one and only entrance into the mine of Alzhamera

Following the entrance into the mine was the primary tunnel that had access into all the secondary tunnels all around the tunnel, each secondary tunnel representing and acting like a mine town 

What makes the mine entrance so deadly is not being notified before you are shot at, so just being close to the mine gate is a death sentence, with the mine gate shooter who are trained in the savage battle preparation camp organized by the Red dynasty to shoot before any of them are even accepted into the watch duty

With hundreds of the shooters for the morning duty, hundreds for the afternoon and another set of hundreds for the evening period, making them always active and wanting to shoot to test their shooting skills on the savagers, the outward side of the mine was always as busy as ever 

In one of the entrance of the secondary tunnel was where Belitrus would come everyday within a certain period of time in the day to wait and check if Elvira is to be coming into the mines as she promised

He had no idea what he was getting himself into, being friends with a royal noble, the daughter of the lords of the whole land, even through the problems his friendship with Elvira had brought on him, he still persisted with their friendship

Some of the guards who knows him and his relationship with you lady Elvira had been disgusted by it, attempting several times to take his life, and more recently where he crossed path with Jinto, the honourable guard of the lord of Alzhamera, he had introduced himself

Together with the other warriors he had came with, capturing Belitrus and putting him under severe t*****e, wanting to kill him but resisted the urge based on the direct order from lord Alzath to discipline him but on no account should they take his life

Last time Elvira have come into the mine, he had not gone to wait for her on where they normally met, having the thought that it was the best for her sake, but after she searched all round a particular part of the mine and found him telling him all about the danger and how she overcame it, he decided not to ignore her again and always be there for her

Then on the same day as they went about their day's activities they normally do when she was around, going round the safer parts of the mine for sightseeing and helping all they could along the way, she discovered the signs of t*****e on Belitrus body, one which he had been trying his best to keep it a secret from her

In a loud show of angry she had shouted, "Jingo!!!!, Am going to kill you" as Belitrus tried his best to hold her back from any rash action

"Please don't do that, it would only make matter worst for the both of us" he had beg her, but I guess later she couldn't resist the urge like always, instigating a standoff between her and Jinto 'jingo' as she had often called him

After the stand off between her and Jinto resulting in her severely injuring him, Belitrus had not heard of this yet in the mine, but have noticed the way the few mine guard who knew him was always looking at him anytime he comes closer to the main mine entrance side 

Belitrus wished he could spend more time with Elvira but he knew that's not possible as even the little he had spent with her was a privilege and could not have assurance that he would see her again

Presently…..

It's been a few days since he last saw Goth who he saved from Elias the kind poison, a notable and infamous murderer in the mine of Alzhamera

And also Sybella the medicine man apprentice who had taken a liken for him, he misses them, he's life haven't been too eventful since they last saw eachother

So having no idea where Goth lives in, Belitrus made up him mind that he will go search for Sybella in the medicine man shop after the time he was to wait to see if Elvira would come for the day had elapse

Waiting at the entrance of a secondary tunnel which was near to the main entrance gate, he waited observing the movement of all in coming and out going mine guards, then he saw a savage woman running towards the mine gate slowly with a big stomach, she was obviously pregnant

'Oh no' Belitrus mind raced on seeing the pregnant savage woman, shouting would definitely draw the mine guards to where he stayed at as there were a lot of them around, some even laughing at the pregnant savage woman who was running the wrong way they thought

Belitrus couldn't hold himself, he wanted to go save her, but she had already crossed the white line, the line of no return as the mine guards calls it, because that was the shooting range of the so many deadly weapons

The incoming and outgoing mine guards were starting to avoid where she stand by diverting a few metres away so as not to be caught up in the shot that is sure to descend soon

“HELP!!!!! ….. MY BABY!!!…..” the pregnant woman standing in way into the savage death zone 

The mine guards still giving a large distance between themselves and the pregnant savage woman as they were passing by was now suprise that there haven't been any reaction, some of the looking back to the main gate, probably checking if the watch guards could see the savage who have way crossed the line

In a gleam of hope the woman was now smiling, as she started walking forward towards the main mine gate raising her hand as if in surrender

Then all hell broke loose as three large and long arrow-like metal pierced through her, killing her instantly

Savage Laws of the Red dynasty

-A savage is born a savage and shall remain a savage till death

-A savage is to be bound always, never to roam the land freely

-A savage is an item for the savage business and nothing more

 Belitrus couldn't look at such a sight as he bowed his head moving away from from the secondary tunnel entrance, back into the hellish world he was born into

‘What a life we are made to live in, what's on the outside that they insist we spend our whole life on this part’ he's mind went searching as sadness filled his heart at the sight he just behold

Going back into the inner parts of the mine where savagers are more concentrated, he moves slowly in as he searched for the medicine man shop
