Chapter 63

Galviberth mine event

The group Xavier was leading went forward after some of the Xaion system agents have undergone many days of active monitoring of the sources of food shortage in section C

Taking the corner tunnels as they went in group, avoiding that of the Main section C network tunnel even if that would have been a preferred path due to their large number

Xavier was at the forefront on the excursion into the place of continuous food shortage, with his deputy by his side and the leader of his private secret agents team

They moved without talking much, only saying what needed to be said as the move through the tunnel together

"Hope the location of the dome is confirmed and not a dud" Xavier said to the leader of his private secret agents who was by his side

The elite spy and warrior was silent for a sec before Xavier realized his mistake, as the word 'dud' was not one common to Savagers in the mine, the source would probably be from one of his books

"Oh right, like I hope the information is not one based on a limited time frame" he rephrased his statement to the elite warrior

"Yes am positive that everything would hold true on the tips and information provided by the squad" the leader of the secret agents said

"Would not encourage our current venture today if the info has some falsity to it"

"Ok understood" Xavier replied his as they continued with the path through section C 

After a long and tiring walk, they were now at the deep edge of the section C main network tunnel

The path forward had just a few flaurixe light around making the place to be dimly lit unlike the main and adjoining tunnels of the main section C network

The difference was so clear between where they had spent the many hours walking through and this other part of the mine that is so isolated and uncared for

Finding a small cell able to accommodate all who have embarked for  the excursion with xavier to see about the food shortage in section C

"Let's stop here and rest a bit before going to the lion's den" Xavier said quietly to his deputy by his side

After a few moments of being by the deep edge of section C main tunnel, they saw a Savager coming out from the darker tunnels they would soon venture into 

He was looking like a regular savage and most common type of Savager, with torn and patched clothing, with a frail like looking body, but not the kind of savage who lives under the Xaion system

Some parts of the deep tunnels was filled withith a lot of rebel Savagers to the Xaion system for trying to make them live like the outside world

Making the argument, tho through violence that they were the free humans of the mine (earth), and that ownership and possession is a abominable concept

Roaming the lands of Galviberth mine and taking whatever one wants even if by force or ending the life of the previous owner was how a savage should live

This was what the Xaion system had mostly changed with time in the tunnels where it had operated, giving the Savagers more comfort and security, not living day to day in fear of what may come

"ok guys we would be stopping here for a bit of a resting period before going into the deep tunnels of no man's land" the deputy announced

And there was murmuring around by a few of the Xaion system warrior and officers who had no idea that they would be heading into the deep tunnels of the mine on this day

"We were not informed that we would be going into the deep tunnels of no man's land" one of the Xaion system warriors came to tell the deputy who have left the side of Xavier by now

"Yes that is how it was supposed to be, so as the news about the Xaion System officials and officers going into the deep tunnels and no man's land would not spread round the mine and flaunt our operation today

"Ok I would relay it to the rest of the guys" the warrior satisfied with the reason the deputy gave went on to the other side of the cell where his fellow warriors were in

"So we have to do this in the right way to assure that we return with minimal casualty and put an end to the reoccurring food shortage" Xavier said

"Yes sir, we would definitely do as you have asked" the leader of the secret agents replied

"Also, we got some info about the dynasty involvement in the activities of the rebel group causing the food shortage" 

"Seems like there are even some mine guards directly participating in the operation to cause the lack of food in the section C, and sabotaging the extra supplies that was made available previously" the secret agent added

"Ok, that would be repaid appropriately in kind to the Dynasty"

"They have their death coliseum events coming up soon enough, we shall see to it that with the best of our ability things wouldn't go as planned for them

"Yes Sir, we are on it right now as we speak"

"Good" Xavier said

"Ok we need to start moving now" the deputy announced as he moved around, tho short in statue, he's authority within the Xaion system was of a high ranking, and so was his dedication and work in relation

"Keep your dagger and all weapons at arms length, we would be entering a hostile territory it a moment now"

"Take out any flaurixe light you have brought along with you, the no man's land have a high varying amount of light source in it's tunnels, so we would have to mostly depend on our direct lighting most of the time"

The deputy was giving his announcement as they were to begin their departure into the no man's land

Most of the group here in the squad Xavier had come with have for most of their lives avoided the deep tunnels and the no man's land

And a few of them have never been in this part of the tunnels before, so they were filled with the fear of uncertainty, but derived courage from their leader Xavier, who is personally leading the operation

Tho Xavier had carefully selected those who had come with him on this operation based on their high skills in combat and it's related components

"Today we put an end to the food shortage!"

"Yayyy..." They all responded to the boast of courage by Xavier

Now embarking into the no man's land with the group of officials and officers that he had come along with

Everyone was told to keep quiet and make the lowest possible sound as they move about the deep tunnels

The light was also kept at a minimum even tho those of the people in the squad had a light source with them, only few were used for  the brightness emitting from their movement was to be kept to the minimum

Xavier was at the forefront with the deputy and the leader of the secret agents

Passing the path of the no man's land was harder than normal as the way way not as smooth as that of the outter tunnels, with some paths drenched up with water, staining their footwear up to the ankle as they move through the tunnel

These was some of the problems Xavier and his team were hinged on to solve when they had first embarked on the Xaion system project at the beginning

Most of the paths of inside the mine were always drenched up with water, making most of the place muddy and life a lot harder for the Savagers

Xavier and the founding team solved this problem buy channeling most of the water source to main dispensing channel at different marked out places to avoid compromising the entire tunnel 

This had given the Xaion system an early trust in its operation by the Savagers living around the base of operation

Navigating the path with so many casualty on their way was not an easy task, bit within the squad were the secret agents, and some of them have had the task of inflitrating the no man's land rebel Savagers and their operation

Giving Xavier and his officials the source of food shortage, it was a particular rebel group sponsored by the Dynasty and operating from inside the no man's land

"There's a dead end just around this corner, we would do well to avoid going through that side" the secret agent leading the squad through the tunnel was saying in the most silent of tone to enable just the few around him to hear

"How close are we now" asked Xavier to this secret agent

"Oh, very close I must say, very close" the secret agent replied

Giving signs with his hand, the deputy instructed the squad to get ready their weapons and to be alert

One of the warriors had held up the flaurixe light up enough against the deputy arm area so that everyone could see him giving the signal

Now all flaurixe light were placed around the neck of every one in the squad as an individual source of lighting, and was covered entirely for the moment to avoid the enemy from noticing them before they arrive

All but just two of the flaurixe light was open as a source of lighting

The Savagers who had inflitrated the rebel Savagers causing the disruption of food supply along the section C was now ready to act his part

Him being one of the two people who had a flaurixe light open went forward to greet the Rebel Savagers who he said would be in the next turn way into the tunnel that was lit with flaurixe light, tho a little dim but much better than the rest of the paths they have taken to get here

He was to go in to confirm that the rebel Savagers were all in the place he had described for them

Dressed as one of the Rebel Savagers now sponsored by the dynasty, this secret agent now went off, leaving the rest of the squad behind him as the waited for his return or signal

The only open flaurixe light was on the hands of the deputy who was short, making him seem less dangerous to anyone at first look, while all the rest of the squad was squat down on wait for further action

After a while, they did not receive any message from where the secret agent had gone into and the members of the team started getting anxious

Then suddenly they could see someone coming from the other adjoining tunnel the secret agent had just entered and it was not the agent

Having held the flaurixe light at his front, there by leaving everything beginning him in shadow, the deputy just stood there as the rebel Savager started to approach after sensing suspicion

"Hey you ther..., Wah ar ye doing ther" the Rebel Savager was now into the deputy coming forward

Immediately from behind the secret agent who had gone into the place of operation of the rebel Savagers had appeared directly behind the Rebel Savager now coming towards the deputy

Before he could get close enough to the deputy and being able to see the the multiple of warriors behind the short lone savager and raise an alarm

 The secret agent got behind the lone rebel Savager slit his throat from behind using his sharp edge dagger in an assassination type

Not knowing what had happened, the whole squad looks as the rebel dropped on the floor leaving behind the secret agent that had gone into the rebel Savagers place of operation

" All ready and clear for storming" the secret agent said as he had removed an obstacle from their path

With this being said, all the Savagers on the squad removed their flaurixe light blockage from their neck and went forward in a charge towards the base of the Rebel Savagers operation

Xavier led the charge as the leader entering into the adjoining tunnel which was surprising much wider than all they had been inside since entering into the no man's land

Immediately the Rebel Savagers were shocked to what they saw next

"Xaiooonnn warriors" one of the Rebel Savager for lookout quickly raised the alarm as he saw the lights bashing against his eyes and knowing fully well that there must beany people behind those lights

"Stop them", some groups of Rebel Savagers were already charging back towards the incoming Xaion warriors

But they were at a great disadvantage as the shining bright lights emitiing from the flaurixe they had wore in their neck was now blocking the line of sight of the incoming rebel Savagers sponsored by the Dynasty

'Been so long' Xavier thought as he brought out his two finely made daggers that looked like a pair of short swords

Each dagger on both side he charged into the Rebel Savagers like an animal ready to make its kill

After a few moments a significant amount of the Rebel Savagers had already dropped down in the taste of his blade, having the intention of breaking through the rebel Savagers 

He dealt with the ones he could while moving at a fast pace, leaving the rest of the initial rebel Savagers that had charged towards them for his squad to handle

Following him closely were three of the most elite of his private secret agents, and they move forward after breaking through the Rebels first encounter.
