Bargain for Quintus….
Back at the Moryhate mine, the self acclaimed chief had already started enjoying the benefits of keeping Quintus alive as a hostage as his requests to the outside world were being carried out at he's beck and calling 'seems like this is a very important person at the outside world' he thought
I better stick to this Organization group that brought me this information, they must be powerful and have a very large reach, saving his life and getting a high ranking member from the rulers of the outside world
The outside world have always had a growing fear for the savagers who lived inside the mines, not knowing their exact numbers anymore and the changes going on within the mine, so they always pass laws on strengthening the mine gate, which was the only thing that separates the the savagers and the nobles, the mines and the outside world, putting more and more weapons on the wall of the mine, hiring more mine guards to keep them subjugated
“It seems this was a very good idea capturing their leader” Silma was with Denver in a deep cell latch having a conversation, "The influx of goods following into our district have been very high, and that is because of their captured warriors leader I think"
"Yes you are right, they are sending us so much goods now indirectly in order to appease us and not harm the Man, all thanks to the lovely Karen and her group from the outside world, if not by now I would probably have been dead"
“So about the other savagers who ran away from the assassins, what happened to them, hope they are either dead or retrieved ” Denver asked Silma, knowing that if they were captured they would be forced to release information on the smuggling activities, but now he had the backing of a large group, the Organization from the outside world and that gave him pride
“They have been retrieved, the ones who survived but the total dead from the pursuit was 4”
“Ok that's good, so there was no capture right?” he asked not.even feeling sorry or remorseful for the few who had lost their lives to this incident
“Why don't we accept some of the requests the mine guards have come to offer us in exchange for Quintus ” another of the savage that was in the same cell latch was asking Denver
Denver now tired of hearing questions in what was supposed to be a meeting bluntly answered this last question
“Because Karen adviced me not to, that her group would communicate with us when the time reached, she also warned that we should not lose Quintus through death or the outsiders recapturing him, if not that would be the end of our smuggling activities and or lives as the Red dynasty would retariate ten folds”
“Why do we have to do what this group says like we are their underdogs, hope it's not in between your legs you used on Karen the gold digger that is speaking” the same Savage said to Denver as Denver became furious from his words
Denver took a strike at him with his fist knocking him against the wall as he grabbed this savagers throat, pinning him to the wall
“Challenge my position agaim next time and I will make sure my dagger tastes your blood without fail!” he shouted at the savage almost choking him
Must have been one of his top Savage leaders in his smuggling operation, cause a cell latch in not something just anyone had access to nor even knowledge of it
One rule from the Red dynasty that the savagers of the mine thinks favour them is the rule that no handler, the lord of the land where the mine was based in, no handler of the mine was allowed to withhold necessity from the savagers in large quantities
The savagers who knew about this rule thought it to their advantage but to the rulers who had carefully selected this rule, they saw it as a way to keep the the savagers in b*****e and in check
They can only reduce the input of food to the savagers in the mine, stoping the inflow of food into the mine is sure to cause an uprising that unites the whole Savagers together as one against the easily tumbled wall called the mine gate
No amount of weapons at the mine gate structure nor number of mine guards deployed would be able to stop the savagers from breaking through the mine gate, destroying it in the process
What Denver and the other savagers in his smuggling group didn't know was that Quintus was much more than just the leader of the assassination squad, he was a noble and an infamous warrior who was known by many in the Red dynasty
News spreading that he had been captured inside a mine by a group of savagers would be disastrous to the rulers of the Red dynasty, as these types of things causes uprising and new attacking groups in and outside the mines
“Lets send them a message, so they know we are in a serious business, activate operation 'get a kill' on the secondary mine tunnel Cell_GD ”
Operation 'get a kill' was an organized extermination battle that the mine guards always dread witnessing anytime they come into the mines, many of their fellow mine guards have lost their lives to these outburst which they know can only be ignited by the top savagers in the mine
A few of the operation 'get a kill' have been taken up by the mine guard authorities as they host a more fatal revenge, always killing the top Savager who instigated the operation, so is the consequences of the power that comes with the operation, one which they have the power to carry out but have to deeply consider it before activation
“Ok chief, time to get b****y” one of his top savager of the smuggling operation said to Denver as they open the cell latch coming out like kings to start the operation, calling other savagers in the different cells as the go
“Make sure the cell latch the assassination squad leader is in, and is kept on a full lockdown, Silma go do that ” Denver said as they walked out of the cells now in the secondary tunnel
Sighting a mine guard some distance away, Denver removed his dagger as he threw in with all force at the mine guard
Taking a hit at the mine guard which everyone clearly saw the mine guard drop on the floor, Denver shouted "OPERATION 'GET A KILL' " and all hell broke loose as the troops of savagers bringing our their weapons as they run into different corners of the tunnels and supposedly empty cell patch attacking any mine guard that see within sight
Gentle and weak Savagers running away so as not to be caught up between this heated all out battle
