I wake up in the morning, still exhausted. My eyes are puffy and it's more than obvious I spent my night crying. I go to put on my clothes from yesterday, only to find a note with an outfit on the dresser.
Wear this, we'll go shopping soon. -T.
I smile lightly, getting dressed. I wonder if Trent picked these? If so, he's got good style, I giggle.
It's a baby pink pleated skirt, with a few buckles for decoration on the side, a white tee with a deep V neck, chunky white Mary Jane's with knee-high white stockings, the top having a few baby pink stripes across them.
After getting dressed, I brush my hair, throwing it into a quick high ponytail, my curls cascading only to my shoulders while up. I walk to the door, opening it but almost running right into Rosie.
"Oh honey! Hi! I was hoping you'd be awake!" she says, smiling softly.
"Hi, yeah I was just finishing getting ready." I say lightly.
"Oh honey, you've been crying..." She says quietly. Reaching out to touch my face.
I take a small step back before she can touch me and I watch her face falter.
"I- I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to..." I stammer
She smiles a small smile, and I see her eyes glaze over for a moment. I stare at her quizzically, and her eyes return to normal.
She shrugs and says "Mind link" with a wink.
"Do you want some breakfast?" she asks.
"Actually, I am starving!" I chuckle.
On our walk to the dining room we're met by Trent.
"Morning, Alpha." Rosie says nodding.
"Good morning Rosie, Aryia. How'd you sleep?" He asks, turning to me.
"Good morning....alpha..." I say trying out the name, fearing I'd been addressing him rudely unintentionally. "I slept well, actually. Thank you, please tell Zander thank you as well."
Trent cringes at my choice of name for him, "You don't have to call me Alpha, not yet anyway. I understand it's new for you, as does anyone of importance."
I smile lightly, "I'll get used to it, Tren-Alpha." I catch myself giggling.
As we enter the dining room, I look around at the buffet. There's mounds of eggs, pancakes, waffles, bacon, hashbrowns, sausage, steaks, and the cooks are still bringing things out! Wide-eyed, I can see why, as I look, all the wolves have PILES of food on their plates.
"Holy shit." I mutter under my breath.
That earns a chuckle from Rosie, as well as a few passing wolves. I blush, "I didn't think anyone would hear me." I mutter.
"Wolves that are of age and have met their wolves have better hearing, and most anyone in the pack house is over 18." Trent says back and my blush deepens.
As we walk towards the buffet we're bombarded by "Good morning Alpha's". Occasionally, a female will come up and try to hold Trent's arm, flirty, but he shrugs them off and continues to get food, much to their dismay. Rosie laughs and they shoot daggers at her with their glares.
As I grab my food, an egg, bagel, and some hash browns, I see Trent and Rosie loading their plates up, piling everything on top of one another. I raise a questioning eyebrow and Rosie just says "You'll get a faster metabolism too. Trust me, this is nothing!" She laughs.
"Maybe you'll gain some height then." Trent smirks.
I use my free hand to smack him on the arm, eliciting a crowdful of "OOOOHH" from bystanders. He growls and they scatter away, "I'll get you for that" he says.
We finally sit at a table and begin to eat, Trent and Rosie chowing down while I take my time. We talk a little about werewolf culture, beliefs, and life. Just as I'm finishing up, a cute woman comes creeping up sqeezing her way into Trent's lap, despite his attempt at blocking her. She has shoulder-length red hair with long curtain bangs, and small hazel eyes. She's thin, not sporting much in terms of "assets", and is about six foot.
"Who's this pipsqueak, Alpha? She looks a little young for you, I'm sure I can play with you better." She asks, fluttering her eyelashes at Trent, then looking my way.
Who the f**k are you? I snarled in my head. I must have made a face because Rosie cracked up across the table.
"Who are you to ask that?!" Trent boomed. "Aryia is my guest and WILL be treated with respect Becca!" He snarles, shoving her off of him onto the floor.
She stands up, stomping, smacking the dirt off her behind. "What the f**k, Trent?! You like them younger now or something!?" She snarles, coming over towards me. Staring me up and down, she says "Just because she has t**s and an ass doesn't mean she's worthy of luna, TRENT." She spats.
With that, Rosie stands up, growling. "She's a minor, BECCA. Nobody is making anyone Luna, especially not you! You f*****g freak! Back. Up. Or I will kick your ass harder than I do in training!" She snarls, her eyes flashing between black and regular.
I'm covering my boobs, crunching down on the seat trying to be small, a blush covering my entire face.
Trent stands up, grabbing her by the arm, dragging her out of the dining room as she screams about how he'd never treat her like this before the new w***e arrived.
Sympathetic stares lingering on me from the other wolves.
Rosie stands up, "Lets go to Trent's office, we were gonna go after breakfast anyway. He has a lot to tell you."
I stand up and quickly shuffle out of the dining room to Trent's office. I see Rosie's eyes glaze over again. I bet she's talking to Trent.
About five minutes later, Trent walks in, followed by Zander. "Hey Aryia," Zander says sweetly, smiling lightly.
"Hi Zander, I'm glad to see you! I wanted to thank you for everything! I don't know how you did it but everything is perfect!" I exclaim.
He chuckles, "Well, I'm glad you like it! I had some Omega's put some clothes in your closet while you were at breakfast. Don't worry, Rosie picked them. My sense of style is not suited for a woman." He winks
"Don't worry, we'll go shopping together soon for more!" Rosie replies.
"Thank you guys... I appriciate it. So much." I say, relief flooding me.
Trent coughs, "Okay, I hate to do this... but we have a lot to talk about." He says.
"Yes, of course, Alpha." I say, smiling.
He smiles, but not a genuine one. "You should sit down... This isn't going to be easy to hear, Aryia."
Everyone looks solemn... Rosie motions for me to sit next to her.
"I need you to listen to the end, Aryia. Even if it's hard," Trent says.
I sit with Rosie and gulp, " Oh..okay."
"It's time you learn about the past... about your parents." Trent begins.
