Fairytales

I take a deep breath. Let's start at the beginning, the calm before the storm. I explain how it was a perfectly normal day, when all of a sudden it's like they caught wiff of the danger. I'm sobbing while I go over every little detail. I hesitate to tell him about the wolves, but if mom trusted him... I had to, right? He doesn't seem shocked, even when I explain how massive they were. I put everything I had into the details, praying they would help him. He was going to help, right? I think to myself. I tell him about the man, the powerful aura he gave, and every aspect of his appearance. Trent shudders while I describe my mother's death. Occasionally writing a note or two, inbetween his sympathetic stares. But he doesn't say anything, just lets me finish, taking my time in between sobs. By the time I explain it all, I'm hiccuping between my words. I've definitely had enough crying for a lifetime. "Th-that's all. I waited at the police station until you showed up", I say trying to calm myself, looking at my hands. Trent gets up and paces, growling and huffing. Sometimes I see his eyes glaze over like he's not fully there, other times his brown eyes darken to pure black, it's like looking into an abyss. I know I'm not crazy, his eyes definitely are changing. I watch him, holding my breath, worried it's me he's mad at. "Look. I know you have some questions, but first I have to explain some things to you. It's going to be hard to understand. I need you to believe every word I say, even if it seems impossible." He's says roughly.. I'm starting to catch on that's just how he talks, Maybe he's not so bad. I just got the wrong impression. He sits in the chair across from me. I can tell he's conflicted, his eyebrows scrunching and relaxing as he thinks of how to start. "I don't know how to begin, so let's start at the very beginning." He pauses, "There are more things in this world than meets the eye. I'm sure you noticed with those wolves," He raises an eyebrow and I nod slowly. "Those weren't normal wolves, those were werewolves." I laugh, "What? Thats just a fairy-" He raises a hand, cutting me off "Aryia, patience." He sighs again, He does that a lot. I chuckle a little internally. I nod signaling I'll listen, he starts again "There are werewolves, hidden all around the world, mixing with normal humans every day. Most aren't bad people. Those wolves that were looking for you, however, are. They've spent years perfecting assassinations, without a care about werewolf law, or the families it destroys." Tears threaten to fall from my eyes. Trent hands me a tissue. "Thank you..." I whisper. "Your paren-" he clears his throat "Rachelle and Rowan are two of the fiercest, loyal, kind wolves-" I recoil in horror, standing up out of the chair. "Aryia, calm down" Trent sighs, standing. My head is spinning. What? Mom? Dad? Wolves? Then the gray wolf the other two were chasing? Could it be? How long have they-? I can feel a panic attack coming on, I'm too late to calm myself. As I start to lose consciousness, I feel Trent's massive arms surround me to stop me from hitting the ground. "Oh f**k" he mutters, then darkness. -Trent's POV- I see her start to panic, eyes darting back and fourth as she jolts out of her chair, hands on her head. I should have known this would happen. I sigh and tell her to calm down, but I see her eyes roll back. "Oh f**k" I say as I move to grab her, I get to her before she hits the ground. The few guards littered around in the other seats scramble up to grab her, but I just shoo them away. I carry her carefully to the bed in the back, I've never had to be careful with a female, or anyone for that matter. I awkwardly place her on the bed. I never found my mate so I just use she-wolves for a quick f**k and send them on their way. It's strange for an Alpha to not have met his mate or taken a chosen mate by my age, but I didn't need one. Wow, she really is beautiful. Long loose curly blonde hair, that falls to the middle of her back, swaying when she walks. She's tiny, barely five foot, I notice as my arm is practically the size of her. Big glistening eyes that are as blue as the sky, with a dark outer ring like you're witnessing nightfall within her iris. When she's awake, it's honestly hard not to just stare at her eyes, almost as if they lure you in. A subtle but strong jawline, a small button nose, slightly upturned. Huge full lips, her bottom lip slightly bigger than the top, especially noticeable when she pouts, I chuckle quietly. I see a few freckles dotting her nose and cheeks, so light you only see them if you're looking closely. I noticed she had her nose pierced, a tiny pink gem poking out the right side. I shake my head, realizing I've been staring too long. I turn around to find the guards instantly spin around so as to look like they weren't just watching me. I growl lowly and they all bow their heads. "Sorry Alpha" they say in unison. I mind-link the pilot "How much longer?" "About two and a half hours, Alpha" he says, and I groan, sitting down. "This is gonna be a long flight." I mumble, looking out the window.
