Episode 8: "The Hunt Begins"

The team knew they had to act fast. They quickly gathered their belongings and went into hiding, knowing the conspirators would stop at nothing to silence them.

Ava's phone rang, shrill in the silence. She hesitated, wondering who could be calling. But something compelled her to answer. "Hello?"

"Ava, it's Dr. Kim," the voice on the other end said, her tone urgent. "I've been compromised. I don't know how long I can keep you safe. You need to get out of there, now."

Ava's heart skipped a beat. "What about you?"

"I'll be fine," Dr. Kim said, though her voice trembled slightly. "Just promise me you'll expose the truth. The people need to know."

The line went dead, and Ava was left staring at her phone. The team looked at her, concern etched on their faces.

"What did she say?" Jax asked.

Ava's voice was barely above a whisper. "We need to get out of here. Now."

The team sprang into action, packing their bags and fleeing their safe house. As they navigated the streets, they noticed they were being followed. The conspirators had found them.

The hunt was on.

The team ducked into alleys, dodged pedestrians, and sprinted through streets. Ava's heart pounded in her chest as she ran, her senses on high alert.

Suddenly, Marcus grabbed her arm, pulling her into a nearby abandoned building. "We need to get off the streets," he whispered.

The team caught their breath, listening for any signs of pursuit. But the silence was oppressive, punctuated only by the sound of distant sirens.

"We can't keep running," Emily said, her voice laced with fear. "We need a plan."

Ava's eyes locked onto a glimmer of determination. "I think I know what we can do."
