Episode 3: The Unexpected Encounter

Ava stood frozen, trying to process what had just happened. One moment, she was learning valuable lessons from Kael, and the next, he was gone. The sound of footsteps grew louder, and Ava's heart began to race. Who was coming?

As the footsteps approached, Ava saw a figure emerge from the darkness. It was a girl about her age, with piercing green eyes and a mop of curly brown hair. She looked familiar, but Ava couldn't quite place her.

"Hey, I'm Lena," the girl said, out of breath. "I've been trying to catch up to you. My friend said she saw you talking to Kael."

Ava's eyes narrowed. "What do you know about Kael?"

Lena hesitated, glancing around nervously. "Let's talk somewhere else. It's not safe here."

Ava followed Lena to a small café on the outskirts of campus. Over steaming cups of coffee, Lena revealed that she was part of a secret group that had been watching Ava. They were drawn to her determination and potential.

"We've been waiting for you," Lena said, her eyes locked on Ava's. "We have a mission that requires your unique skills. Are you in?"

Ava's mind was racing. What kind of mission? And what did Lena mean by "waiting" for her?
