Cloud 9, In Bed,
In The Middle
of Nowhere,
2nd December.
Dear Alice,
Still missing your old sleepy friend? How time flies. I downloaded a new song, and it's amazing. I'm just checking to see that you're okay [not that you care about me anyway] and the inn hasn't blown off. Nothing personal.
How's our darling Lucy? Heard she started a fancy jam factory. And our old man Paul, still off his rockers. The man hasn't stopped his microwave rant, has he? I wish I'm over there with you guys, but something came up. Myles should be five or six by now right? [lost count]. I miss the little guy, always smuggling animals, bless the lad. And you, you've been avoiding me for years Missy.
Don't you dare give me that lost kitten look, or the stressed overload excuse. Mary had already informed me about how your chores are being reduced. And what's with the no friend's tactic? You need real friends your age, not a sugar crazed toddler, or a slightly insane old man, or an over-sized cat [my apologies pebbles].
However, I'm not supposed to tell you this but, this should serve as a note of warning. The elders of Triple Town will be arriving after the close of this semester. I'll like you to be on your best behavior while they're around. You don't want to be kicked out again, do you?
By the way, I need a new set of pajamas, silk to be precise. Kindly send my greetings to Mary and dear lady Georgia I miss her cooking dearly. I promise to drop by, but I'm not sure when.
Alice, please stay away from trouble, even if you have some connections to it. Oh! And Alice, do make friends. People only get to live once, you're lucky to live nine.
Yours from dusk till dawn,
the man in pajamas.
