44: Rainy morning
The sound of rain tapping against the windows and large glass walls was usually the most calming noise for Marlene, but not tonight. She had gone all out, paid for an entire luxurious villa using Michael's card and sure, it made Ruby happy which made her happy, but it was all done in a fit of rage.
She should have been sleeping, because he would not be arriving till it is morning, but she could not even lay down without feeling like her heart would explode from rage.
He had lied to her. He never intended to be in this city, and she had driven all the way to surprise him and gave fun with Ruby but he was not even near enough.
As she watched Ruby sleeping peacefully near her, she smiled softly, grateful that she her day was not ruined at least.
