24: Outward Declaration
Marlene had her arms crossed the entire time after they were handed menus to look at. She kept her eyes as far from him as possible despite him focusing in her so intensely.
"Shall I choose your meal too?" He questioned, the annoyance very obvious in his voice.
"Then shall you eat it too?" it was the first time that she was speaking since he got her back into the car and also the first time that she looked at him for even a second.
"What is your problem?" When he asked, suddenly everything flew out of her mind. She could not even think of one thing to tell him, even though she was so sure that had he asked her a few minutes ago, she would have given him an earful.
Now, she had to ask herself that question before answering it.
