Anthony opened the door with his free hand as he stepped inside, careful not to make any noise. He gently closed the door behind him, his eyes falling on Kathy, who was peacefully sleeping on the bed. With quiet purpose, he set the tray down on the table in their room, making sure not to disturb the silence. Then, moving softly across the floor, he walked slowly over to the bed, his gaze lingering on Kathy as she slept.
“She looks so innocent just sleeping, mother of our children,” said Max
“Yes, she has sacrificed her body and her life to be here, with us. She goes out of her way to help us, despite not being obligated to do so. “Kathy loved us even when I was blind; she never turned us away, and she never asked for anything in return,” Anthony said.
“Well, she needs to eat something,”
