Chapter 3 : Isa journey begins Isa's heart raced as she looked in the scene before her. Clara's demeanor remained unchanged as if such sights were routine."This way," she said, leading Isa past the disturbing tableau. Isa forced her legs to move, her eyes fixed on the weak man. His eyes were pale enough to pull out, and she could see her weak self inside of him. The pressure and depression she passed through during childhood, weren't a joke. They arrived at a sleek office, a stark contrast to the violence outside."This is where you'll be working," Clara informed her. "Mr. Luca expects discretion and efficiency. Your tasks will be communicated daily." Isa wished to pulled out some words, but Clara had gone already. Isa pulled closer to the polished desk, her fingers trailing over the cold surface. The weight of her mission pressed heavily upon her. As she settled into the leather chair, the door creaked open. Luca De Luca entered, his presence Commanding the room. His gaze locked onto hers, a flicker of something unreadable passing through his eyes. Isa mumbled into herself, her heart seized to function, as the hot breeze pulled inside her throat. Making her gasp for air, his eyes still on her. She stood up, her head down below avoiding his killing eyes. " I trust Clara has acquainted you with your duties," he said. His voice was smooth yet edged with authority. Yes, Mr. De Luca," Isa replied, her tone steady despite the turmoil within. "Good.". He paused, his eyes narrowing slightly. She turned to the computer before her, the screen reflecting her determined expression. The game had begun, and she was ready to play her part. Some hours had passed, and Isa's eyes still knocked on the computer. She couldn't get to lift her eyes toward Luca. His office was a mile away from hers, separated by a glass door, visible to each other. Isa's office phone vibrated; she panicked as she pulled it out to answer. "Mr. Luca need you now." The lady's voice, Isa noticed the familiarity of the voice, said to be Clara's own. "Alright, thank you". She said, pulling her chair backward while she strode to his office. The scent of cocaine couldn't let her breathe, her hands above her nose as she stopped herself from inhaling it. Isa pulled the door; the door making a cracking sound could alert Luca someone was coming. His hands around his waist, ready to pull out something from his pocket. Luca didn't get to see who was in front of him, his hands already out of his pocket as she shifted backward. Her eyes merged with the short black gun, already charged for shooting. "Mr... Luca". Isa called out his name, her body trembled as she stared at him in fear. Luca lifted his head, and with his shocked face, he pulled the gun down to his trouser. Faced her with a fake smirk. Isa could see his eyes still shaken, knowing he had shown her the reason to fear him more. "Oh! Miss Isabella". He said, pulling out a large smile while his eyes pierced directly into hers. Isa couldn't utter any word, her mouth shaken to lift the word, but it got heavy to lay out. She stood there, dozing off from her thoughts as he stared at her, surprised. "Miss Isabella?". He called her name out; this time, Luca voice brought her back to her senses. As she pulled out a smile while walking closer to him, her hands shaken enough with the file she had on her hands. "You called for me, Mr.Luca". She said, his eyes still on her as he smiled enough to convince her. Yes, I did; please send this file to a man named "Diego. K,". He said. "Alright, Sir". He nodded his head while she collected the file before snoozing off from his office. Isa wished to ask for directions to meet the person, but the gun scene couldn't allow her to ask further questions. She walked closer to the first scene she met earlier, her eyes scanning the people around. She didn't know who to ask, their faces ready to kill any being beside them. She met her eyes with a young gentleman, his shirt pulled a little, showing his blackbird tattoo, the same one her dad had for years. His own was at his chest side, leading to his left-hand armpit. Isa walked closer to him, his hands busy wiping off some wet substance from his hands. "Good day". Isa greeted him, his gaze could get her wet already. He lifted his head, focusing on her side as he smirked. "Good day". He said, his voice smooth enough to make Isa's day good. "Please I'm looking for Diego.K". She asked him, he stared at her with a killer look. Before speaking up. "He is over there, the man with the red bonnet." his eyes were now fixed on his hands, and he kept on wiping the wet red stain. "Thank you". Isa said, nodding her head before heading in the direction. Diego saw her, his gaze was a killer one. He glanced at her for the fourth time before pulling out a stick beside him, his eyes still fixed on the work he was doing. "Good day, Sir, Mr. Luc...". Before Isa could finish up her sentence, a young man walked across them. Pulling out a big black bag, the size could take two humans inside.Isa stared at the bag and the man, his short black hair making it style enough to fit his black trousers and a white shirt with black stashed on it. Isa glanced at the same bird tattoo on his right hand, signifying the same gang. "Sir, these are the remaining". The man said Diego nodded his head. "Please follow me". Diego said to Isa. Isa nodded her head as she walked behind him. He walked toward a dark room. The darkness in the room alone could blind someone's eyes, she couldn't get how he was seeing inside of the room. Diego on's the light, and Isa's eyes opened. Shockingly for Isa, the room she thought would be scary wasn't at all .It was an office painted blue and white stacked. The walls were designed with different animal art, but she never understood what the Black Bird signified in their gang. "Please sit". Diego said, bringing her back to his view. She sat down while her eyes roamed around the tidy and good scene room, the aroma was pleasant to inhale. "Bring the stuff". Diego said to the man, Isa stared at him. Her mind forgot the man had been walking with them; her eyes gazed enough to see what was inside the bag. Immediately he opened the bag, the scent of fresh blood couldn't get off her nose. It smelled like a freshly dead cow; Isa was still not convinced it was anything harmful. "Maybe it is the food to cook for the company". She mumbled to herself, as she observed the scene. Wait… "What is that?". Immediately, the man lifted the thing up. (" ")
