I was still on edge the next night when I went to meet Noah for our date. I hadn’t talked to him since the reporter left Coming Up Daisies the day before, but we’d exchanged texts. He didn’t seem like anything was wrong, but he did say he had a surprise for me at our date.
I parked in the lot next to Luciano’s and rushed inside. I saw Noah’s SUV outside so I knew he was already there. The hostess led me through the small Italian restaurant to the table. Noah stood to kiss me then stepped back with a grin. “Tara, this is my brother, Sawyer.”
