Chapter 28 Jessica –––––––– While I was paging through the book I’d brought with me, I suddenly felt the hair on the back of my neck stand on end. I looked up and over toward the neighbor’s cabin and my heart stopped. There was a bear. “Oh, my God,” I gasped, standing up quickly. The bear was brown and very large. Definitely a Grizzly. Fortunately, it was headed away from the cabin, and toward the woods. With my heart beating rapidly, I watched as it disappeared from sight and then I hurried back up the dock to the safety of the cabin. When I got inside, I shut the door and locked it, grateful the bear hadn’t noticed me. I wasn’t sure if it would have attacked me or even wandered onto the dock, but just seeing it had frightened the living daylights out of me. Still anxious about the
