PROLOGUE

200 Words
"I don't love you," he said, gripping my shoulders tightly. His voice was cold, almost empty. "You are the biggest mistake of my life." For a moment, everything around me went silent. The words kept ringing in my ears, again and again, louder each time. Tears slipped down my cheeks, but he didn’t even blink. I kept staring into his eyes, hoping to see even a little bit of love. Just something. But there was nothing. Only anger. Only hate. "You hate me that much?" I asked, my voice shaking. I could barely get the words out. My heart felt like it would stop at any moment. He didn’t answer. He just looked away. I took a step back. My body was trembling, but I forced myself to stand straight. "Then I’ll disappear from your life forever," I said quietly. "If my presence hurts you so much… then I’ll leave." I turned around before he could see me break even more. Each step felt heavy, but I kept walking. I didn’t look back. Not even once. And as I reached the door, I whispered more to myself than to him,“I hope we never see each other again.”
