The ride home was long and tedious. We stopped every so often so I could check up on everyone’s vitals. The men and woman had passed out again after being installed in the truck and therefore were unable to let me know how they were doing. I had kept the back window of the pickup truck open to be able to communicate with Kyle in case anyone in the back decompensated. On our frequent stops I would go around to each of them, put the oximeter on their finger and check their vitals. I had to stop the saline drips for the drive so on our pitstops I would start them back up temporarily, having the driver, Marie and Kyle hold the bags up.
