Kaelen’s POV
The smooth sighing of the wind dragged across the forest through the trees. The leaves on the trees danced in understanding. A quiet calm rested on the ambience. Riven stared at the dead Felix without a word.
He placed a hand over Felix’s still open eyes, dragging his lids close, letting out a sigh and took to his feet. “Are you okay?” His eyes ran my frame, stopping at my knees.
I nodded. “I’m fine.”
I knew not to fight his alpha command too long. A small sound left his throat. He rolled Felix until he laid side by side his mutilated family. After one last look, he took out a vial and a matchbox.
