Kaelen's POV “Sterling!” I called out, rushing to his side. Blood trickled down his chest around the branch that stuck out from it. “Sterling,” I called out, tapping his face lightly. He fluttered his eyes open but he shut it almost instantly. He opened his mouth to speak but the words were replaced with a gargle as blood filled his mouth. I held him, unsure of what to do. A branch fell landing on my feet. I hissed, pushing the burning branch.
