In heat?
I hadn’t felt that in years. I felt it once before finding out I was mated to Merrick. After that, it never happened. I never thought about it because I believed it wasn’t something to be worried about.
“It must be because of the medicine. Your wolf is slowly healing,” Hazel said, clapping with excitement.
Yes, it’s healing. I’ve been feeling better, but did she really have to go into heat? How was I supposed to calm it down?
“Should I get the Alpha Kings or the Alpha Asher?” Hazel asked.
I shook my head. “No,” I managed to say.
“Why? They are your mates and they can help,” Hazel said.
“Mates?” George asked, mouth agape.
“No, just go. I can handle myself,” I told her.
“But-”
“Do not argue with me, Hazel,” I told her, my voice stern.
