I stretched exhaustively on the bed, my eyes still closed as I wondered my hand on the bed expecting to feel her softness, but her side of the bed was empty, I quickly opened my eyes and she was indeed not next to me on the bed.
I looked up the wall for the clock, it was past 9am. She shouldn’t be awake this early, I interrupted her sleep earlier and we went back to bed by 6am.
She should be resting.
I rolled off the bed, slid on my foot wear and stalked out of the bedroom, I could hear sounds of cookwares from the kitchen. She was up early and making food for us.
I got to the edge of the wall, and peeked my head out, she didn’t notice my presence, she was engrossed in what she was doing.
