Bob gazed dreamily out his office window as he recalled his conversation with Jackie last night. She made him feel all warm inside in a way no one else did. Strangely, it somehow reminded him of the good old early days when his mother was still around.
He sent her a text and got an instant reply.
*Jackie: Hi, Bob! I'm in the office. Will be busy today. Call you tonight. Miss ya!*
Bob smiled and was texting his reply when Tengku Muz walked in.
“Hi, Bob. Okay, I've spoken to Dato Seri Cheng and he assures me he has nothing to do with this juvenile scheme your stepmother came up with," Tengku said, looking unusually solemn. “He has no clue where she got the idea from, and he'll be calling you later to sort things out."
