Lucian stormed through the halls of Blackmoon Academy, fists clenched at his sides and rage simmering just beneath the surface. His wolf clawed at his skin. It wanted out. It wanted Rei. And he had rejected him. Lied. He could still smell him in his mind. The way he’d looked at him back in that hallway, pressed against the wall, breathless. The way his pupils had blown wide with desire. Rei wanted him. He wanted him. And yet, he'd said no. He’d denied him with words that sounded like daggers to the gut. He punched the nearest wall. The plaster cracked. His knuckles bled. “Whoa,” a familiar voice said behind him. “That wall piss you off, or did someone turn you down tonight?” Lucian didn’t turn immediately. He didn’t need to. That sarcastic tone could only belong to one person
