Second Earth… Over the next four days, Chev and Gage made the rounds of crates early in the evening, and the rings after the weaker contestants were sent to the medical center. Gage searched the crowd in the underground room for his Dark Warrior. Jules was absent, yet the place inside Gage that recognized Jules hadn’t cooled or gone numb. Perhaps the fighter was just recovering from his wounds, and when he was well enough, he would seek out Gage.
Chev no longer offered suggestions to Gage about how to play the games. He now took on the role of protector. Pel didn’t appear to be recovering from his burn, or the beating from Deyja.
