14 Second Earth… Mitz came at Jules as if it were personal, a chance to exact revenge. Emotion often clouded the abilities of a warrior when he needed clear thinking. On rare occasions, emotion could propel a fighter past his edge, thus saving his life, or in the case of the rings, earn an enormous amount of credits. Fists and feet came from different directions, all aimed at unbalancing the opponent. Jules softened his vision to take in all the actions of Mitz’s appendages, rather than focusing on just those closest to him. Blocking fists with his forearms and moving sideways or back to avoid most, if not all, of the kicks, Jules remained almost unscathed. As soon as Mitz seemed to exhaust himself on his initial attack, Jules came at him faster and with more accuracy. A fist to the ribs
