32 Kiersten placed a hand on the wall to steady herself as she followed Aiden and Marcus as they carried Derek down the corridor to the aft section of the ship, the improvised Care Room, where the medical kit was mounted to the wall. Images were blurring, and she blinked rapidly to clear her vision. It was the Glaston bite. The pain in her ankle was minimal, but the teeth must have torn the skin, even through her boots, and the poisonous saliva was attacking her nervous system.
